Installation problem

Hi,

I have DeLuxe Edition. Installation is not working because setup is not find file 690791_depotcache_1.csd on disc 1 which is not there or any other disc.

It downloaded over 45GB of files from Steam including this file. It seems that setup is not using any files from harddrive or from those installation disc.

Anybody same problem?

I have been trying to get it for literally 5 hours now, and I still can't get it.

The game REFUSES to give me a download link OR activation key (Yes, I did pre-order the deluxe edition), and I have already sent 2 emails to customer support, which have been ignored...

How the hell do you download this game???

I have a CD deluxe version but it does not work either the game does not want to install

I have DVD version (4 discs). It downloaded all those files without asking me anything. And after that it says that this file is missing and setup stopped.

me when I download the game it takes 2 seconds and after when I run the executable missing

If you bought the actual boxed deluxe version some of you face installation problems. You got 2 activation codes in your boxed version 1 for the actual game and the second one is for the deluxe content. You probably activated just the deluxe content. You going to found the second code on the back of the manual in the box. Activate both and you are able to install the game. Hope that helped some of you. Good racing!

@FinnRally well if you managed to get the content downloaded thats better than me! I run through the setup then it doesn't download anything. Steam treats it as if it has all been downloaded and allows you to click "Play" but of course then tells you that in cant find anything (suprise suprise as the folder is empty).

@ChristinaMc There's some of us here having similar (if not the same) issues with the setup launcher for physical copies. It seems to run through the agreements and steam activation fine, but then not download the content properly (or at all) so we cant play the game :(.

Ah maybe that's the problem, I didn't realise there were two codes. Thanks for pointing that out!

 

EDIT: I thought Steam usually make it clear when you have dlc content for a game but not the game and usually won't let you play it?

I first entered deluxe code by mistake. Steam don't accept that so I entered the right code.

It didn't ask it any more.

Yeah I think I have done the same.

Is it possible to sort out the problem by entering the actual code via the “activate a product code” function on Steam?

That was the problem. Thanks for the help people. It's a bit embarrassing but there wasn't much indication that we had two codes to enter...

Installation succeeded finally. I have to put both keys to install game.

I have to download game files from Steam and install game in Steam client. Setup on disc didn't work for me.
