Change the ratio of Day/Night stages in My Team

Adjusting stage condition weights

  1. 1. Change the ratio for conditions to be weighted more towards Morning/Day/Dusk conditions than Night

Right now you are basically running a Night and/or Wet stage 50% of the races in My Team. I love a good challenge but that just seems way too heavy for those conditions. Most of these stages would be run consecutively on a single day/weekend so the weather should be fairly consistent across all stages. During the lower tier events as well, you wouldn't be throwing Joe from the local body shop who just rebuilt a DS21 into a 8mi stage at midnight in the blinding rain.

So let's get it back to how DR1 did it, with lower tiered championships normally having better weather overall and ALL events being more weighted towards Daytime stages. Keep the night &  bad weather, but they are way too heavily used right now in My Team. AND LET'S ALSO GET THESE EVENTS TO MODEL A REAL DAY. Give us the first stage at dawn, the next 2-3 stages at morning/afternoon, maybe one more at dusk, and the final stage at night. It would be 10x better than running two night stages in the rain, only to have two afternoon stages in the sunny & dry conditions right after...

From observing how the game is designed, seems there's possibly like a 7 in 8th chance you will get some sort of unfavorable condition.  The stages seem to be made with static configurations in mind, and there's maybe like 8 or so of these scenarios (haven't counted).  In freeplay you can choose the scenario you want and what I noticed is that there's only one day/dry scenario for each location.  The option after that immediately goes to day/cloudy but with a wet road.  For some reason you can't have clouds with a dry road.  Then there's various sunset / dusk / night options with rain, wet roads and dry conditions.  The game's career seems to randomize what these set conditions are, so assuming there's 8 options, 7 of them are not day/dry.  You are lucky to get any stage in the day with it dry.

Dirt 4 was nicer though, I believe career was more hand picked, considering the my stage feature didn't work in career.  And when you craft your own stage in that game you could pick from a variety of start times and weather types, could do dry at any time of day.  I was expecting they'd bring those features into DR2 as that feature was something I actually loved from D4.  Disappointed they went with the DR1 mechanic of stage conditions.

But since they did go this route, and the fact that career is definitely not static (each play through is different), they do really need to create the system to randomize the events more realistically.  Like set a much lower % chance that X amount of the events will be night and/or rainy.  Have a much higher % chance of more proper conditions being selected even though there's really only one time of day the game has made for the most ideal conditions.  The lack of morning stages is odd.  So yes, I agree with this thread 🙂
