your favourite engine sound in game?

wanna know wich is the engine sound you like the most in dirt rally 2.0 😉    personally i like the obvious sound of the audi quattro s1e2,  but this time  the sound i like the most is the lancia delta integrale hf when you release the throttle...................hurrrrr....that is giving shivers 😄

This is a real difficult one. I love the sound of the Audi 5 cyl, the Datsun 6 cyl and the BMW 4 cyl.  But there can only be one the best and that's the Porsche 6 cyl boxer engine.

The E2 quattro, Mk.2 Escort and 6R4 all sound fantastic, but the '95 Impreza sounds so good now it's my winner... just!

The new Escort sound is superb, absolutely love it. I'm looking forward to the new 208 R5 sound because I love that one in real life; it's the most N/A sounding turbo engine I've ever heard.

 

All the new GT class sounds are superb too.

There might be several cars to mention here but at the moment I think I'm most impressed by the Peugeot 208 R5. It sounds quite brutal. As a 5 cylinder fan I must also mention the Audi Quattro S1 E2, I guess. Sounds are really good across the board in my view!

only thing i miss a bit from dr1.0 is the gravel noise  bouncing  to the chassis

It's really difficult to choose, CM are so great at this. There are many contenders for top spot, but in the end I'll pick the Metro.

Honourable mention to the Ascona, its idle sound is just sexual.

+1 for the Peugeot! It sounds very agressive (especially in replays), my favourite R5 car because of that. By the way all the cars sounds great in DR 2.0 it's one of the strengths of this game. Many game has weak, uninspiring sounds for small 4 cylinder engines but here in DR2 all car has characteristic sounds.

I wish I could say the Mk2 Escort but unfortunately Codies have not got it right ! They simply have not captured that wonderful BDA / BDG on Weber's sound.

It sounds more like a Millington engine to my well experienced ears. A shame really as they have done a very nice job on the rest of the car. I say this with some

authority as I attended every Welsh, Scottish and RAC Rally from 1975 to 1985 as a spectator and some 2 years as an employee of Ford Motorsport at Boreham

actually building these cars and enjoying countless hours of pre event testing in the forests and disused military tarmac ranges and service support on the internationals.

Codies have based their car on a 1976 Escort so to be fair in comparison, here is a clip of Clarks Cossack car on the 76 RAC. I'm sure you will agree that the sound is quite

different. Please watch this on a PC with good speakers. It will sound rubbish on a phone, tablet or laptop. I doubt if Codies will update it now so this begs the question, are

there any talented sound modders out there that can come up with an authentic sound pack for this awesome car so that members can, finally, enjoy the Group 4 RS 1800

in all its true glory.
