GP Events is BACK in F1® Mobile Racing for Update 4

Recommended Posts

Hey all 🙂 re-posting today's Facebook note about some pretty cool news for Update 4. On top of the recently announced XP system and the technical tweaks we've been speaking to you guys about, here's something to get excited for...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve almost made it, team. Through the cold winter and the countless weekends without racing, we survived a life without uttering those three famous words.
Now, though, we can shout it from the rooftops. IT’S RACE WEEK! 🏁 🎊
The F1® Mobile Racing team are especially excited about the new F1® season, as we’re finalising Update 4 and preparing to roll it out of pit lane. As announced last week, Update 4 will introduce a new XP System to get your teeth into, each and every time you jump into the game. As well as that, though, the new update sees the return of a fan-favourite, bigger and better than ever…

GP EVENTS – CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION

With limited-time events, big rewards and exclusive items up for grabs, GP Events certainly seemed to be a hit with you guys earlier this week. In case you’re new around here: GP Events is a limited-time, multi-stage event in F1® Mobile Racing. Taking place on a single circuit, set your fastest times in the Qualifying Series, before taking on the official F1® grid in the Race Series. Every player’s performance is ranked against the world on global leaderboards, and the better your rank, the more prizes you can collect once the weekend is over.
In Update 4, GP Events is back, with an official twist that’ll take your race weekend experience to the next level. During each Grand Prix of the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship®, F1® Mobile Racing players will be able to take part in a live GP Event, taking place on the same circuit as the real-world action.
For example, as the Bahrain Grand Prix takes place on the weekend of March 29-31, you can take part in a GP Event on the Sakhir circuit. Can’t wait for the qualifying session on Saturday? Set your own fastest times in the latest limited-time event. Need more action after Sunday’s race? Take on the world and #RaceToPerfection.
Be part of the action and emulate the heroics of your favourite teams and drivers, every time a real-world Grand Prix is in action. Each event will offer big currency rewards and exclusive items for the fastest drivers, such as liveries and stickers. So, get in that practice during each race week and aim for the Gold Tier loot!
It’s awesome to be able to bring back a mode that we know so many of you enjoyed, and we can’t wait to see you all jumping into GP Events all season long!
We’re making the final adjustments as we speak, but, if Update 4 arrives this week, the new GP Event system will be live this weekend for the Australian Grand Prix. Of course, we’ll keep you posted on dates and news as soon as it’s confirmed. 1f642.png
Thank you 📱🏎

Definitely aiming to have the update out before the weekend 🙂 always subject to change, of course - the initial target was next week, but we want to give players the chance to jump into the new update as the new F1 season gets started. More news as soon as we have it 🙂

Hi @ChrisGrovesMCM

Will there be any difference in how the Safety Rating works?

Currently, at least for me, SR changes sometimes unpredictably, and I have no idea if it impacts the game at all.

So it would be helpful to have an explanation of how it is suppose to work, if changed or not.  Either in the FAQ or here.

Good luck with the launch!

Thank you for the update. Roll it out and we can debug this weekend! 👍

Or, please take the time to test make sure the racing modes user experience is fair and fun 😀

Another launch where we feel the game is playing unfairly in duel mode more than bad players will drive some of us away.

The developers should especially feel ashamed for what they did to Grid duel mode the past month where it forces players to block the entire race to win.  Not to mention the thousands of credits unfairly lost by hardcore players as a consequence of games with no chance of winning.

New Grid Start Message: "You will not be competing in this race and you have been deducted 30 points. Thank you for playing F1 Mobile."

No thank you. We are not beta testers for the Developers.

Pls catch and fix the bugs before roll out.

Posted (edited)

Those who wanted a beta got what they ask for...

Hard to imagine how some of the issues got through so the rush to launch shows.

I see a lot of good user feedback already so hopefully some of the playability anomaly's can be addressed quickly.

I'm finding a new kind of AI aggression where I'm rear ended and end up facing backwards in sprint and grid. Lose so much time turning around its a quit for me. Yet another way for my trophies to diminish.
