DiRT Rally 2.0 - Car Inaccuracies

Recommended Posts

Sure, the gravel spec wheels/tyres are narrower than the tarmac equivalents, but not to the point where if you lost the rear arch structure the wheels still wouldn’t extend beyond the shell.

Gravel wheels do sit pretty far in on the 6R4:

See in the pic the correct dashboard for the S14 Impreza WRC, one in the game doesn’t have the digital display in the middle

I am not sure if the screen was a customer option or only came on the later cars. I have seen a couple (including at least one SWRT car) that didn't have the screen fitted.

Because of CM read these constructive criticism, the next package is here 🙂
Impreza 2001 dashboard's gauge - need to change specular map for the inner part of the info center...
you ca nsee that any direction of light source the inner part is shining like an emitting light source which is annoying
Just make that part non reflective - just need to touch specular map only of the interior of the impreza 2001 car
Please Codemasters, fix it! I could do that if DLC cars should use the same pssg sub-folder method as the other cars ...

Thought I'd bump this thread to include the items posted by @AlexSpartan316 in the Gossip thread. Specifically the ride height on the R5 Fabia...

More additions to the thread, this time based on observations from @ianism

The official Peugeot 208 rallycross car liveries appear to have some wrong colours, specifically the Timmy Hansen 208...

...and Kevin Hansen 208:

Not sure if anyone from the team is watching this thread, but perhaps @PJTierney can add the above to the shopping list at some point.

EDIT: Just checked and I think the Loeb livery is wrong as well:

That thin grey stripe amongst the colours needs to be much lighter on all three cars.

Are you Mesa, who gave the name to mesa drivers in Linux?

You definetly deserve to be a game tester, you pic more issues in 1 hour than the whole influencers/press thingy since Dirt 4.

@CodingRacer Mesa means table in Spanish. It is a very common family name man 🙂

I have new Fabia R5 and it looks like offroad. But when I checked real photos on stage it looks like to photos. So it's probably right.

Ford RS200 Turbo gauge's needle.

The orientation of the 3D pivot of the turbo needle set wrong!
The Needle is going under the gauge until 0.5 bar pressure. Check this animated gif :

Please Codemasters, fix it.

It depends on the photo. Offroad setup is common but not every time. I don't know. Probably CM could tell us more. I started with rally 4 months ago again so I don't know at all 😄

So checked Fabia ride height in Spain, it does visually adjust with changes, but seems like less than perhaps it should - i would argue there is a little visual deception going on with the fender height and livery though, notice the black parts and the angle we're looking at on some of the shots.

If you have doubts take this picture (how a full low tarmac setup really is on that car) ,choose the in game fabia with a white livery and make it full low suspensions. You can’t deny it’s a pretty damn obvious difference...the back in particular it’s completely off.look the side fender too...

edit: also the rear wheels are not aligned with the arch , too much inside

Also this problem was already mentioned by @mesa in the first page of this thread. (Along side with the completely wrong c3 r5 wheels positions)

so it’s since March that we hope for a fix on the Fabia....
