Starting all over again in DR 2.0 (XBOX)

Recommended Posts

Dear forum members,

I really like the Dirt Rally 2.0. I love it actually. But learning curve was not good for me. To learn how to play I beat the s**t out of my career.

Now I want to start from scratch and go along a nice career but I just can't manage to succeed on that.

I tried to erase my Profile by hitting Reset All in game options and game seemed to reset but it didn't. I still had the cars and engineers I bought in my previous career, the only difference was the reset in career races.

I tried to erase the save file from the XBOX and the cloud and I did that. The next time I started the game the game created a completely new save file so I thought everything was ok but guess what. My garage is still full of cars, my wallet (credits) is the same as my last career (3.258 cr.).

So I tried to reset it in-game. I tried to reset it on xbox and its server with no success.

The game always find a way to sync my last careers cars (even miles on these cars, wins etc.), credits.

Any help?

Love and respect,

Cagdas

You could try this...

1.. Select the 911 GTS and do a custom event / time trial.

2.. On completion return to dashboard and close the game.

3.. DR2 >> Manage game and add-ons and uninstall the 911 GTS (nothing else)

4.. Restart the game.

During the loading process you will receive a message telling you there is a racenet discrepancy (something to do with missing content) and because of which you have to delete your save data to continue. I have absolutely no idea what happens beyond this point (I have no desire to delete my save data) but if you're in the process of looking for ways to restart then maybe you could be the one to go the extra step and see what happens 🙂

Wow Boris very interesting.

I'll try this for sure. I hope this helps.

I am also not happy that I bought the Deluxe pack. The game is not that fun with all cars and upgrades at the start.

If I had the chance I would start a fresh career with the Basic Game.

I got the day one edition with three bonus cars but because standard edition purchasers start with 0 credits, using the 'free repair' default Fulvia was the only real option until I had enough to bankroll repair bills for other vehicles. In a lot of ways though that wasn't such a bad thing because instead of continuously spending money on repairs I could instead invest in the staff side of things to make things easier for when I was ready to try out the more difficult cars, so yeah, just using the base car made my career a little more structured than the trying (and failing) with random bonus cars option.

Personally i'd have thought that your better option would be to abort current championships, get relegated back to open class and start afresh with what you have.
