Worst looking game on the end of a lifecycle console

Recommended Posts

I have a 48" (tv) which is 1080p or whatever, but I don't really know what any of that reaaallly means, I just know that I only really get blurring at night. Like Vaseline on the lens of some glasses. But daytime I don't get that issue at all.

Codies could save a lot of headache and expense for themselves by simply including a bloom slider in the console versions. PC players can fiddle with all manner of graphics effects, this simple one for consoles would, I suspect, help so many of us. TAA options as well perhaps.

I agree that in some cases there’s too much bloom but my issue is truly with the soft focus problem and one doesn’t solve the other.

That’s also a nice way to describe it. 😁

I believe this is news. I don’t recall having seen anyone on the X complaining up to now. Quite the opposite!!!

No, weve had 1 patch. The first patch was the one released alongside deluxe release, so i dont consider that a patch as it was before community access. So there has to date only been 1 patch. And daytime is sharp, i play on ps4 pro and dont have any of the soft focus issues in daytime whatsoever.

We have had two patches, a day 1 patch on the 22nd of Feb which was very substantial

Hi all,

Please see below for the Day One patch notes for DiRT Rally 2.0. This is v1.1, but will be pushed live to PlayStation users as v1.03 - just something to be aware of.

Visual updates:

Improved visual quality of tracks

Improved placement of reset lines in tracks

Updated car model quality

Additional sponsors added to vehicles and trackside hoardings

Connectivity:

Online connectivity improvements to My Team via RaceNet and in title fixes

Network connectivity improvements and bug fixes for non-RaceNet multiplayer

AI:

AI has been improved in all game modes

Audio

Additional new audio lines for non-English co-drivers

Misc:

Quality of life improvements to My Team

Assorted big fixes

UX refinement for Custom mode

Addressed general stability issues throughout title

Improvements and corrections to text

Please note that we are aware of the RaceNet connectivity issues and Xbox One Deluxe Edition unlock problems, but if there's anything else you feel has slipped through the cracks otherwise, please report those issues here.

Thanks,
Christina

Yea but deluxe didn't release til Feb 26th. So I don't consider it a patch until it's been released to the public if you know what I mean. Anyway, here's hoping all issues get resolved.

Yeah that day one patch wasnt released to the public, Got you now 😉 🤣

Honestly at this point i dont think Codies are fixing anything (night and wet stages were supposed to be fixed - yeah right did they forget we play the game?) and will have moved onto their next title and only have a skeleton crew on this. What we needed was transparency after the last patch of what can be fixed, what they are working on and possibly what they could look at in the future but we have not heard from them since the patch and their socials are just full of nonsense with answering no questions put at them.

That would be great if Christina posted news from developers (on what they are working on and possibly what they could look at in the future).
