Dirt 2.0 Very Low FPS

Recommended Posts

System:

  • Windows 10
  • (2) GTX 1070 run in SLI
  • Intel i5core 6600K
  • Triple 1440p monitors  w/ G sync (7680 x 1440p)
  • PC is only used for gaming and has no shortage of memory or space

Dirt Rally 2.0 is running at 22 - 32 FPS, which is absolutely terrible. The previous Dirt Rally set to Ultra on my system averages 100FPS, and other titles like Assetto Corsa, Iracing, and Titanfall 2 all maintain over 60FPS with no issues at all. I turned visual settings way down on Dirt 2.0, as well as temporarily limiting myself to a single monitor driven by both GTX 1070 GPU's, with the best result being about 42FPS. I don't understand what's causing this. There's no way in hell that this game demands this much of a system is there? If so, how is anyone playing it with success? Something isn't right, any ideas?

Try without SLI. Multi-GPU is pretty much dead and badly supported by some games nowadays.

Do try, unplugged usb wheel and you will have immediately a minimum of 60 fps.

My existing setup is 2 monitors running off of one GPU, and the other monitor on the other GPU. I ran the game with SLI disabled on a single monitor at 2560x1440p and it averaged 90FPS... I don't currently have a way to test all 3 monitors on one of the GPU's since they're connected via Display port and each GPU only has 2 Display port outputs. I just saved a DXDIAG file and emailed it to Codemasters Customer Service. Interested in hearing what they have to say about SLI. Have yet to experience issues with other games due to SLI
