Purchase Vehicle list

Recommended Posts

The car list available to me each day has been pretty much the same since release.

Cars I've never seen for purchase:

Mini Cooper

Alpine

BMW E30

Renault 5

Sierra Cosworth

Peugeot 205

Lancia Delta

RS200

MG Metro

Lancia Integrale

Escort RS

Is there a bug?

Pretty frustrating that the Audi Quattro is always on the list (a car which I got from the Deluxe version), but not a single other Group B car has ever appeared.

Half the H3 & Group A missing as well.

no, they do show up, but they do seem to appear less often.

the H2 RWD Escort is usually available, but the other 3 in its class aren't, for example

there are similar situations in other classes. I suspect each rotation is a specific group of cars, and there's a set number of rotations. the issue is that some cars are in more rotations than others or something. And of course some cars are in all the rotations (all the RX Supercars, is the example I can think of off the top of my head).

I can't really be bothered to figure it out, but haven't had trouble picking up cars I want within a day and a half or so if they're not there right when I have the money.

When I was going for Achievements I noticed that the dealership updated with new models shortly after I purchased one from a particular Class.

When I purchased an Audi Quattro (Group B) for example I'd soon after that see a Peugeot T16, and after that an MG Metro.

it switches every 8 hours. there's a timer there in the shop.

I’m aware, however as soon as I bought a car a new one from the same Class showed up instantly.

If you sell one then it appears ready to buy again.

Not very economical tho!

I'm 90% sure this is only for new cars. when I buy a used one, it's gone.

just as an experiment, I'm going to try to track every car that appears in the dealer for the next day or two, to see if some cars show up more than others, and to check which ones are always there. The issue is that there's new content being released tomorrow, so it's possible this might affect the rotation. oh well lol this is the list that's there now.

I'm pretty sure that all the present-day cars (so from #9 onwards, except Group A and possibly Group N) are always there, and all that changes for them is whether there is a Used version available too.

All the cars I listed in my OP showed up today for the 1st time lol.

Must've been something to do with the console 500mb (pre Monaco Rally) patch. I bought all the classics I could.

nope, they were just in the "other" rotation. it seems like there are 2 groups of cars that show up in the dealer every 8 hours. the problem is that they haven't alternated evenly until yesterday. when I was checking over a few days last week, in a 24hr cycle, the one I put above was available twice, and the 2nd one only once. that's why you had problems finding those cars.

Anyone notice that the Alpine, 131 Abarth and Kadett (ie, the 3 in H2 RWD that are not the Escort and were not available as often) can be purchased with money in the Steam store? hmmmmm, well at least they show up 50% of the time now, instead of 33%.

as for whether it's Used or New,

  • pre-2000s cars are always Used.
  • post-2000s cars are always New and always available for purchase, except for the early 2000s Fabia, and the S1600 Clio and Corsa

  • post-2000s cars alternate which rotation they have a Used version available with the New, except for the Fabia, Clio and Corsa I mentioned above.

here is the second rotation (I have a life, I swear):

  1. Mini (Used)
  2. Fulvia (Used)
  3. Alpine (Used)
  4. 131 Abarth (Used)
  5. Kadett (Used)
  6. M3 Evo (Used)
  7. Stratos (Used)
  8. Renault 5 Turbo (Used)
  9. Sierra Cosworth (Used)
  10. Fabia (Used)
  11. Citroen C4 (Used)
  12. Citroen C4
  13. Peugeot 206 T16 (Used)
  14. Delta S4 (Used)
  15. RS2000 (Used)
  16. Metro (Used)
  17. Fiesta R2 (Used)
  18. Fiesta R2
  19. Adam
  20. 208 R2
  21. Impreza 1995 (Used)
  22. Delta (Used)
  23. Escort Cosworth (Used)

I can't figure it out what is the difference between used cars in the list, and how much i'll have to spend on to fix them to be a 100% working car which is a shame.
Street Legal Racing Redline worked like charm about decades.
