GRID 2 DLC compensation

Recommended Posts

Codemasters, It would be really nice of you to give the unusable DLC owners from grid2, some good free cars, that only we have.

Id love a volvo 850 estate touring car.
Escort RS Turbo series 2
VW Rallye Golf
Ford Sierra Cosworth .

As this wont happen, I'll settle for no flashbacks online,  and a racing game that has all the features of a racing game.

Why would you add Replays, if there is no way of saving them.  When and how are they viewable?

I don't know many racing games where you can save your replays... Trackmania's the only one to have this I think. And it has nothing to do with Grid.

You can in Assetto Corsa and they're done right too.....none of the movie cam nonsense.  Play length is also customizable by setting the max file size.

Hell even NFS4 from 1998 had it, you could even switch cars to focus the camera on, without using GIGS of your disk.

Forza 2, 3, 4, and 5

PGR 3 and 4

Gran Turismo

some NFS

all of the above had the option to save the replay after the race.

The whole point of a replay, is to RE-PLAY the race,  When are we going to watch a replay if it cannot be saved?   If your in a lobby, with approx 30-60 secs between races, when is the replay watching going to happen?

Why do CM insist on making racing games, without racing game features?

Why not get rid of flashbacks, in favour of storing replays.

On the other hand, there are also the racing games with no replay at all - NFS ProStreet, for one.  And maybe NFS Porsche Unleashed, though I'm not sure about that.

I cant take NFS seriously.   Hot pursuit was alot of fun, but not proper racing.     [-( :)
From what I heard on the mics last night. Hot pursuit was a training guide for gaming and life for some of the community.

NFS RIVALS sucks. 6 player online.  The whole game is one big career mode - online. Its got nothing on Hot Pursuit.

@Mickdoohan    Were they talking about "B busting"? (B as in a female dog)  When a racer has crashed and the cop just parks next to them, and it busts them.  Personally I consider that totally legit. Very easily avoided.....dont crash.  LOL, as the game population thinned out, people made up their own rules, because they couldnt NOT crash, you were set upon by the entire lobby for "B busting".......GREAT FUN.

NFS - Its fun, but its NOT racing.

I wonder what's the reason for the replay files in at least DiRT2 & 3 to be like 4GB large, why don't they just use the same kind of format they use in the ghost files? Those are just a couple of kB.
