Not sure why 9.3gb for the update, unless file system it a total mess.

PC version: first run in Poland today and the sound drop out in the middle of the stage.

It only happens once before this patch.

And if possible, make it so that tyre wear rates also depend on how you drive (if you push harder, higher speed and higher sliding will cause the tyres to wear faster). 6. There's no mention on these patch notes about the grip bug happening intermitently to some players. Some get no grip, some get partial grip and some don't have any problems. 8. After a stage when you're in the service then go to the main menu and back again in the service, the tyres you used lose their used condition and just display as "New".

10. Running order seems to be class dependent. Example: Group A will never start 1st on the running order regardless if they lead the entire rally, and not just the class, making the running order and track degradation a bit shady. There's also the issue where the championship leader will start cleaning the first stage of the event (correct), except if you are on another class other than R5, but then if you lead the rally once again you don't get the best order position for the best grip. Not sure how you're gonna do it, but something needs to be done about this, as older classes get 90% of the time rutted stages.

11. Splash VFX and SFX are missing when passing through a splash (New England stages).

12. Splash VFX and SFX are missing on wet stages on little puddles of mud and water (all gravel stages that have wet condition). Not sure if this is a bug or an intented design decision. If it implies a significant performance drawback, discard.

31. In the Rallycross Daily events, people get forced back out of the event, rather than back to the pits after a practice run.

32. During replay, tyres are squealing on snow/ice/gravel surfaces like if it was tarmac. Being fixed in Patch v1.3

45. PS4 - There's reports that "Unexpected Moments" stop appearing after a certain time spent in career.

46. PS4 (and maybe Xbox) - Modern Classics achievement is not unlocking.

This is the second time this has happened, and at first I thought it was just an error on my part. I am doing a daily challenge at Camino a la Puerta (Argentina) with Group A. I check my car before I start to see if any damage needs fixing and there’s nothing that needs done. The game loads and my car has scratches all down the side and says I have orange/heavy bodywork damage. Uhhhh what?!? I haven’t even raced yet! I thought I missed something the first time I had this error, but it’s annoying when the tuning options disappears if I were to repair this “damage.”

Yes i only have this problem on this title i have everything on 50 and co driver on 100 and still its just about understandable. i like to have everything on 100 and loud but this title and dirt4 are the same. All they need to do is send co-driver voicing to the dualshock controller and i can mic it to a amplifier just lije dirt rally 1 so i co driver is very loud n clear and game effects are ear popping... as it should be not quite engine and effects and lame co driver volume.

Not sure why nobody is complaining about the game-design, because it's obviously bad. Driving without assists and you have no chance to get near the leaderboard times and the Elite-difficulty is absurd fast on most locations. Seems your driving assists for gamepad-users are a bit too much of an advantage and if CM wants to keep it that way, at least separate the sim-people from the casual-gamers like Raceroom does for example.

well I have had a quick read through most of above and it just makes me so glad I don't PC game, pay my £350 plug in my wheel and go, simples :)

to the thread in hand .

ADAPTABLE TROPHY not popping still, done it many times on 5 different countries and is all that is stopping me getting my first platinum for a very long time as never usually bother, completed all new dlc trophies just to see if it helped. please fix

LIVING THE DREAM took me 6 times buying all five cars and re selling them, this cost me 1.5Mil in credits to finally get it to pop, not happy with loss but it is done now.

FFB this subject baffles me as it works fine.

TUNING in service areas needs to be added/sorted.

LEAGUES/CLUBS MODE also needs adding.

RESET LEADERBOARDS, now corner cutting sorted or when confirmed it is working, but asap would be best.

So, my championship got reset, and now my TT times are showing up on the leaderboard. This must have been the cause of the leaderboard times not showing up , some kind of discrepancy due to the patch. All good now @Riggs

I’m playing on Xbox one x and have noticed that when I’m using dash cam whenever I start a stage, recover my vehicle or restart a stage it reverts back to wheel cam!! This has only happened since this latest update, on a positive note though after trying out this latest update I do feel like there has been improvements to the dark/shaded areas in the game!!

Game still crashes and hang my PC with Access violation that I have reported since 22. February.

But could you indicate please if a FoV adjustment slider on consoles would be a simple thing? I understand it's been noted and submitted to production, but there's no indication it will ever see the light of day. NB, we just want to be able to lower the FoV from the default value, so this shouldn't affect frame-rates negatively?

Arguably however, two of the parts we see are gear box selection and the lack of analogue handbrake. Is a change to these even possible with your new input system?

I think we ought to be pretty grateful these developers are responding on the boards and giving us information at all. It's not their job, and there has been a heck of a lot of entitlement mentality around the place.

Unlikely to be something that comes in the near future, it would be a lot of testing to ensure that it is not affecting performance or causing any issues.

Have you guys considered reuniting the community beta testing team once again, to help speed up the game patching and testing? There's clearly an issue with bugs, which isn't normal, and it's been dragging for almost 2 months now. The reputation of the game has taken a big hit due to this troubled start and it could really use a re-launch, or a public statement addressing the current situation to tranquilize people both inside and outside this forum. It's important to earn the customers' trust once again, and the most sincere way to do that is to release a bold statement recognizing the current state of the game and reassuring that you are doing everything you can to get the game back where it should be. There's nothing to be ashamed of by doing that, it just shows integrity and consciousness and will provide positive results. Otherwise, I can only see sales tanking even harder as time goes on, and I don't think anyone wants that.

We see what's happening here, because we are here, taking part in the discussion and trying to squeeze every bug and concern daily. But the general customer doesn't take part in this forum and has no idea of what's going on. Right now, the current image the general customer is getting is this: "The game has been out for two months and they still haven't been able to patch a sound bug as of v1.3." It's harsh but it's the reality, and word spreads faster from mouth to mouth.

Last but not least, I'd also like to applaud all the people in here, doing their best to provide feedback and report bugs, with more or less anger (doesn't matter) and the availability of the devs taking part in this conversation. It just shows how engaged this community and this group is and to be honest I hope it keeps that way. Haven't seen a community so united towards a single game, the rally passion is big.

 

PS: Hope @ChristinaMc's alright since she has been silent lately.

Engine sound of Peugeot 205 R5 is now horrible?!?! What did you do with it? It was one of the best sound engines ever.. not I can't even play it any more :((((

I hope the team can see that this is well worth doing, at least. It makes an enormous difference - like a whole new game. Everything in front of you is bigger and you get that 'you are there' feeling, with a lower FoV (than the current default).

I didn't think lowering the FoV would impact performance, only increasing.

I tested it yesterday and it's not, it's wonderful and real. Those idle backfires at start are just awesome and I just wish they would sound the same for the other R5s. Perhaps you might be getting some bug that won't allow you to listen to the sound properly?

The handbrake is analog, it doesn't appear to bind as an axis but it definitely behaves as one, I plugged in and tested with a Logitech Joystick to confirm this.
