Have you noticed Soft Lock it's not working at all on PC?

Another giant issue for wheel users (soft lock works fine in dirt rally, that goes without saying).

Soft lock is not working at all (the setting does nothing, even after calibration), so the wheel has to be manually set according to specific car rotation.

Here's the list, I just tested myself (Fanatec Clubsport 2.5. Same with my old Turbo S)

For me soft lock works fine on g29. And mk2 Escort has 900 degrees, not 540.

Checked again and it's 540.

So you are telling me with your g29 you set the wheel to "auto" (I don't know the setting, never had one) and the ingame car adapt to that, just like it does in dirt rally?

Can anyone confirm this?

Is the problem fanatec specific?

I have steering saturation set at 100 and soft lock on, and I get correct amount of wheel rotations for every car. I should mention that I use ps4.

Ok thanks. I guess ps4 is fine.

Here's the situation on pc with my fanatec wheel (I used the Escort, but it's the same for every car on the list).

AUTO (a working soft lock should take care of the rotation and set it right)

for me (ps4 T300) the soft lock works fine (I have the right degree of rotation for each car), but the wheel on screen doesn't match. So it's just visually broken.

If it doesn't match then SL it's not working.

It matches perfectly when you manually set the right degree, and it matches perfectly in Dirt Rally and other games.

It's not like the wheel it's not turning at all, if the setting is wrong it turns less or more than intended.

You'll definitely notice once you try the right setting.

Also, if you look here (the amazing GTR Tecnical youtube channel), it's just setting @540 degrees (so no soft lock at all):

I guess it's broken for everybody after all.

Nice.

Soft lock works correctly on my G27 on PC.

Could you elaborate please?

Just to find it if logitech wheels are fine.

So you have the G27 on "auto" (in windows or in the wheel, I don't know if you control this setting on the wheel), SL is set ingame, and the ingame whell rotation is always a match to the G27 for both 540 and 900 cars?

Yeah. The wheel is set to 900 degrees in windows also.

Ok, thanks, so is a fanatec (an TM?) problem.

Did you calibrate your wheel in game? Soft lock won't work if you don't.

Yes, many times.

I thinks the soft lock option doesn't appear if you don't calibrate first.

softlock is working with my t300, pc. I feel it kick in once I hit the limit of the cars rotational lock, makes an intense hum.

I'll check this out tonight if I get time, I have a Fantatec CSL Elite and T300 which I can hook up to my PC to compare.

I'm on PS4 and using a fanatec CSL elite. If i set the Sen to auto, the soft lock doesn't work (the wheel just turns 45° each side whatever car it is). I have to select 1080 in the Sen options for soft lock to work. Strange behavior and not like DR1 but it seems to work.

with activated soft lock, how much degree of rotation have the Golf and the 205?
I have 540 for the 205 and 990 for the Golf ....
for the other cars it just looks. (R2, R5 540 ....)

With a wheel setting og 900°, calibrated in DR2 and SL=On, wheel rotations are correct for the hardware wheel, but the animation is not correct for any other than those with in-game 540°.

Yes, I think all the car ok, just the Golf is strange, no ?

Soft lock works correctly, the in game steering animation is only 1:1 up til 540 degrees though if you have arms activated. If you disable arms you will get matching 1:1 visual steering animation up to 900 degrees.

Disregard the visual in game steering wheel, it's only animation. If you watch the actual wheels of the car they are 1:1 with your physical steering wheel.

I do not trust the visual, I turn my steering wheel and I count the turns
The Golf has 990 degrees, for you too or not?

Yes - the Golf wheel animation is the one I have seen being off.

I+m not sure if it should be 900 or 540° in real life - but in the sim it seems to be 900°, but the animation is wrong.
