Favourite stage in the game?

Recommended Posts

So far, what is your favourite stage in the game? A stage that ju pick when you just want to enjoy the driving experience.

I have to say that mine is Waimarama Sprint Reverse. When driving down this road in an R5, Dirt Rally 2.0 properly shines! It's starts off with a very fast and flowing road with some very nice junctions in the open NZ countryside. The road isn't as bumpy and you really have confidence placing the car where you want it on the road. The latter part becomes much more  slow and technical when you reach the dense forrest area. All in all this stage just has a bit of everything in it. A true "drivers" road.

I am not sure exactly what stage I'd pick, but New Zealand is definitely my favourite location in DR2.0.

Poland is as good as I expected, New Zealand is unexpectedly great!

the stage i use the most is hancock hill sprint in new england.   i use it to fine tune all cars for gravel.   i find new england very beautiful and truly underrated

Hamra, Sweden. No question about it. The entire thing is fast, sweeping, technical in some parts, and just a blast to drive. Been looking forward to it again since DR1 and have not been disappointed since!

I like to do New Zealand with a wet surface. Great to watch replays of throwing the Manta or Escort with opposite lock.

Also New Zealand but I prefer the twisty, beach part. The feeling of going from one cambered corner to another, in quick succession, and the massive ammounts of grip the profile of these corners provides, can be euphoric sometimes.

I like the colours of New England... I live nearby in eastern canada so the autumn looks the same here (except there are more colours in the trees in real life than in DR2.0, because they forgot green and red apparently)

but any of:

  • Camino de acantilados y rocas/inverso- 5.30km
  • Miraflores/Huillaprima - 3.35km
  • El Rodeo/La Merced - 2.84 km

because I like the twisty stuff. In the wet.

Difficult one but one of my favourites clearly is Waimarama as well, but the Point Forward version. 'Hamra Sweden' is also one awesome stage to mention. There might be too many that I don't recall now. Monte Carlo 'Approche du Col de Turini montee' and 'Col de Turini Depart en Descente' should be mentioned as well. USA Hancock Creek Burst.

Edit: Yep, Argentina 'La Merced' is one I really enjoy as well.

yeah, the whole region of New England and eastern Canada is like this for a few weeks. that picture is Mont Tremblant (the treeless avenues are ski runs in winter) which is not too far. a couple hours' drive from Montreal and half that from my parents' cottage

All stages in Poland. Best location by far at the moment. When (if) we get Finland, that will be n.1 then.:classic_wink:

New England is definitely underrated, stages don't flow as well as New Zealand but I do enjoy those hairpins!

Not sure, the only ones I dislike a bit are the tarmac ones.

Waimarama Point Reverse in New Zealand easily. 16km of awesome. Flowing cambered corners and fast 5 and 6 corners.

New Zealand 100% - picking a single stage is difficult, but I'll tip Waimarama Point Forward over Ocean Beach purely due to the speed / flow / technical variation and scenery - although arguably I smile the most snapping from lock to lock over the flowing cambered corners of Ocean Beach.

I had fears that New Zealand wouldn't live up to what I hoped it would be - but it really is an absolute joy to drive.

I really really hope it's a must have location in future DiRT games - the wait to get it back from CMR1 in 1998 was insane.

Hancock Hill Sprint / New England. Good mix of high and low speed sections. Many downhill parts where you can reach really high speeds.

I have no favourite stage in DR 2.0
I prefer Sweden and Monte - both comes from DR 1.0 with re-worked stage design and physics.
Can't wait to try other DR 1.0 conversions, especially Germany.

One stage i don't like in DR 2.0 is Argentina. Way too bumpy

Any of the New England ones, but especially the one with the 5L Dont Cut thats actually a 4 with the bank on the outside. Very satisfying when you *** the bank and get away with it!!
