Fair duels? Fighting super fast players with 0 power points?

Is it happening only to me to match against players with performance values either extremely low (below 100) or even 0 which are lightning fast and crushing hard into me?

Those are bot's...

They come with the game for no extra charge  🤣

This has happened with previous releases and the have calmed them back down after launch.

bots not as in "cheaters driving automatically" but as in "AI opponents that Codemasters/Epic inserts sometimes". So, you are driving against an AI, not against someone cheating.

I find that when I get into a lower league, say league 5 or 6, I often get these "bots" but not so much in league 1. It probably has something to do with a suitable opponent not being available at a certain time so you get to play an AI instead of being told "well, we have nobody so go away".

Yeah I was shocked for a second about what did I miss, then I remembered that the devs have a similiar name 😛

They can be blocked if you start in front.  

Dom't give up the race, sometimes they let you by near the finish.

Mmm... i am not so sure that zero performance are bots...

for me, real players are Who:

- starts with a lag from grid

- moves glitching , do not have a stable position

- try to ram you

instead, for me, bots are Who:

- smoothly start from grid

- have a stable position on track

- do not try to kill you 

 

So for me there is a lot of real players in League 1 , and in lower leagues there are a lot of bots.

 

@StKnowhere is it also your opinion?

8Actually, I'm not so sure all opponent's aren't bot's trying to create the illusion of a real player from previous data 🤣  Evidence is if you rapidly tap through the final screen, sometimes you get the result from a slow opponent that are several seconds into the future...

I don't disagree with your list on real opponents, plus:

• crasher opponents swerve back and forth when you follow closely.
• I suspect many collisions are due to lag/network connection.
• There have been times I've suspect opponents to be from the development/test team with AI super cars.  
• And have imagined them sitting in a room laughing their arsses off at us . So maybe they are 0 PI opponents.  😂

I definitely have experienced bot's in V5 (including non opponent bots) who:

• ram from behind or side swipe with no penalty
• not impacted by corner cuts
• have instant acceleration, ignore the laws of physics with no effects going off track.
• go off track and then hit you at full speed (no physics)
• If you block, they stay very close behind.
• my favorite is when one stops off track, waits and torpedo's you head on reverse direction full speed when driving by.
• Bots sometimes do a crazy crash dance at the end, flying off track, in the air, ram you, etc.  Not as much in this version as before
• Have a crazy performance map in league 1 (e.g high brakes and power, 0 PI).
• Maybe it's different for me due to connection speed/lag.  I suspect more than 80% of my opponents are bots.

By far the majority of the players are below levels 1. From the Events Standings I see roughly:

• 2,300 players in Gold
• 20,000 players in silver
• and over 16,000+ players in bronze
• I don't know what percentage of players participate in the GP so multiply the above by what you think that ratio could be. I think the game has well over one million downloads.

Highly unlikely there are drivers in league 1 playing with 0 PI and stay in L1 for very long.
