toninus 130 Posted May 22 (edited) If this is right then it means seasons 3 and 4 are confirmed : https://steamdb.info/app/690790/depots/ So 4 new rally locations (including Greece and Finland ?) and 2 last RX ? I hope they won't use the rally or RX scheme from the two first seasons but instead do each season have : 1 rally (new) 2 rally (from DR1) 3 RX. + new cars of course. And I'd really like to see the Xsara kit car, the Megane Maxi and the 306 Maxi. Edited May 22 by toninus
Riggs 1,631 Posted May 22 (edited) @elrojodp8 As far as I know Codemasters licensed those two cars individually by reaching VW and Ford, but even then they almost got in trouble with that, because they were representing the WRC too accurately while Bigben (or was it Milestone at the time) had the rights to the WRC game. The legal blabering got so ridiculous that they even got accused of using the "real" rally tracks. This whole licensing exclusivity is just a big lump of bull, as companies should be able to reach each individual manufacturer and driver and do the best game they can. Other studios should just compete with each other in order to make the best game. If you set exclusivity patterns, everyone loses. But If Could Have Greece And Finland I'd Really Like corsica and 1 Stage Per Rally Like Vineyards Stage In Germany For Exemple Edited May 22 by Freddygore

We now know that "1.7" doesn't necessarily mean two different locations (some were guessing RX circuits would be released in pairs). So two 1.7s and two 1.10s may be a single location. May be, for example, that there are 7 remaining locations planned; 4x RX and 3x Rally (Wales, Finland, Greece). Of course, they may not be released at all, but just planned for originally.
Riggs 1,631 Posted May 23 If that proves to be right, there goes the 2 extra locations we were predicting and so does the chance for "new rallies" since the slots available would be for Greece and Finland.
Viludium 3 Posted May 29 I think that 5 seasons is enough. Now what those 3 other seasons should include in my opinion. Season 3 Jämsä, Finland rally Argolis, Greece rally Some rallycross stage (possibly cota) Group A cars Toyota celica gtfour (st185 of st205) Mitsubishi lancer evolution III Mazda 323 4wd Group s prototypes Lancia ecv Audi group s prototype Toyota mr2 222d Rwd1 Ford escort rs2000 Toyota corolla sr5 Bmw 2002 (ti or turbo) Season 4 2 rallycross circuits Introducin hill climb. I wouldn't mind seeing couple car packs after season 5 has ended. Also it would be nice to make our own liveries for cars. But what i want more than anything is the return of finnsih rally and group a Toyota Celica. Everything else is just sweet bonus. 1
HarveyHudson 3 Posted May 30 I'd definitely pay for Season 3, and also a Season 4 although that seems unlikely. As for content, I'd say Greece and Finland rallies as a minimum. I've been playing a fair bit of Rallycross recently so for completists sake I'd like to see the last two tracks from the 2018 season. As for extra stuff, I'd love to see at least one other long stage for each rally, although given the DLC rally tracks are literally just what was in Dirt Rally I won't be holding my breath. Dynamic weather would be nice too.
Jacendb 29 Posted May 30 I would love to see a stage generator but this time with lots of variety for road segments. In D4 I know what a hairpin will be like in Wales or whatever, but if the generator could change enought features of a turn that would be awesome. I know hand crafted stages are great but after a while you'll lear them all. A little variety would add tons to this great game.
SteveGambino357 2 Posted June 14 (edited) Hello friends!! I have an idea for the 3rd season ....or future DLC: - Class 1.6 WRC cars (2014) as in the DIRT Rally [FORD Fiesta 1.6 WRC 2014, CITROEN DS3 1.6 WRC 2015, HYUNDAI I20 1.6 WRC NG 2016] - R5 class cars [HYUNDAI i20 R5, NEW FORD FIESTA R5 2019] - New locations [CORSICA, GREECE, ITALY tarmac... like in CM 2.0!!!,] - RX cars [HYUNDAI i20 RX, MINI RX] - Ability to create event and earn extra credits - New liveries - Possibility of changing color and model of the wheels ... this game it's so good !!! ....make it become the largest complete rally simulator in the world !! Don't stop the seasons!!! Best Regards Edited June 16 by SteveGambino357
Tranzitive 258 Posted June 15 you are not gonna get the 1.6 cars as those are part of the WRC license now, which Kylotton has. would really like the Hyundai i20 R5. that was a DLC for Dirt 4 but is strangely absent from DR2.0 and unless i missed it no-one has explained why. people have been screaming for that car for ages so no idea why they won't release it as a DLC car, people would surely buy it.
SteveGambino357 2 Posted June 15 @Tranzitive I said the 1.6 WRC cars of the past years, not the WRC + of now. It is different.
SteveGambino357 2 Posted June 15 However it is true I do not understand why a car cannot be reproduced. In the end if you have the license of the manufacturer because the WRC GAME must intervene .. as if the cars were his! If Codemasters has an agreement with the manufacturer to reproduce the cars, it must not be legally mentioned! We all lose ourselves!

But WRC has reviewed their licensing and managed to restrict those. Kyloton has the exclusive package. Edited June 15 by Riggs

Riggs 1,631 Posted June 16 (edited) I'm actually more interested in an extra 2 long stages per rally DLC gradual release more than ever. This is where WRC8 wins only. Seeing the Monte Carlo stages near the base with the houses was refreshing and we sure as hell could have that in DR2.0. It doesn't matter if Codemasters dont actually take a team to the field, just use satellite data and model stuff similarly. This will sell like cupcakes, and will make a bigger profit rather than jump into DR3 development with a hurdle of costs again. AnegloPlz 10 Posted June 16 They might be having issues with their licence with Seat and Hyundai, but maybe they only took more time to get these licences for DR 2.0, so I wouldn't count these 2 brands out at all in the future dlc's

Assuming there's a DR3 at some point, I'm hoping this is the direction taken for that. Existing countries, more stages per country. I don't think it will happen for DR2. 1

I don't think it will happen for DR2. But on the other hand, releasing a sequel just to add more routes to existing ones, seems a bit inefficient. There's been some roaring about "rehashed" content with the DR1 rallies via DLC. Cost-wise it'd be more efficient releasing track packs to the existing game package rather than just make a new one to launch those. Anyway that's just my perspective, similar to what rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa have been doing. Launching DR3 in my opinion would have to imply a lot of other things besides content, in order to have a successful reception: New engine with new limits (workspace length, graphics, performance, feature possibility like a more complex weather systems, ability to change surface conditions during the stage, etc); New generation oriented, capable to use the new technology not only on PC but also on the upcoming consoles; These 2 main aspects, which translate to a lot of secondary changes, represent a lot of work, research and costs. In order for DR3 to be the same step up like CMR3 was from CMR2.0, that's the only way it can be. If you release the game just to add a bunch of new tracks people will rage and reviews will be even lower. Also, an important thing to keep in mind is the community growth and solidification. It's important for a game like this to mature long enough for the community to get solid. The prolonged eSports seasons structure, allied with continued support and paid DLC is a good way to keep the smaller team running, cashing in and keeping the community growing, while at the same time the main people work on the 2 main aspects I refered above. If they just let the game die after S2 or 3, it wont generate as much revenue and salaries still have to be paid. The community might get stable numbers, but that's about it. There's a high demand for stage packs and I believe they could do something to deliver those via paid DLC, if not for all rallies then some would do. I'm sure it'd pay off.
SteveGambino357 2 Posted June 17 (edited) 684/5000 anyway now that I think about it .. regarding the licenses I don't think they should have problems inserting other cars like the ones I mentioned in the previous post. Otherwise you can't explain why there are R5 cars (in DR2.0) that are part of the WRC2 in the real world championship ... so they didn't have obstacles with them, I don't think the licensing problem is a problem. ..... so that Kylotton risks opening a dispute for this is a risk that should be executed to have a complete game. The event is a motor sport discipline, not a dispute on the national border !!!! Nice to compare myself with you who know more! Greetings R5 is an FIA approved and homologated class, which the WRC use for its WRC2 class. It's used as a base for many countries. For modern WRC cars (since 2011), the cars are built to a ruleset owned by the WRC itself, so a car cannot be approved without their say-so. I think this is the case since 1997 too, but something may be a bit different, possibly because a number of national championships used the class, possibly because they were a derivative ruleset of Group A (A8) or possible for some other reason (or not at all).
LibranRabbit 1 Posted June 18 Firstly, this Dirt Rally, not Bitumen Rally(here come the discussions!) 😏 I'd like to see more Dirt Rallies, gravel, water passes etc. Longer, straighter stages, I’m not saying straight, but stages where you can max out top gear for a while. Many real stages in many countries have them. “City/Town” Super Stages which could include driving part through a Rallycross stage as part of the Super Stage. “Live Track” of some kind. BMW's, Porsche’s, Datsun 1200, 1600 & 2000. Much better sound.
