New England in winterrrrr!

but yeah no if I had to choose I'd take a new location rather than an old one converted to a different season.

True, what I really want is Project Cars 2-style full range of weather conditions! But something like that would have to wait until DiRT Rally 03 comes along I reckon

The other side of the road from Sweet Lamb is Myherin, a lot of which is open moorland type scenery, or further north you go into Hafren forest. But as it’s strictly speaking set in Powys, the biggest county in Wales, there are plenty of other brilliant stages we could have in that location!

Although as ‘Hawkes Bay’ is actually the Whaanga Coast stage in Waikato on the other side of the North Island, they could just use creative license and create anywhere in the same country and call it ‘Powys’, ‘Ridabelles’, ‘Värmland’ etc.

I’d also like to see some more of Monte Carlo and Argentina added, those two rallies are so much more than just Col de Turini and El Condor respectively.

Ach... i really want to see Turkey, Italy, France, Mexico, Portugal or Kenya rally locations in year two pass. Then it would be a game of the decade.

I guess another interesting question for Codemasters to plan for the future of Dirt is: ‘would you pay for more DLC or prefer a new Dirt Rally 3/Dirt 5 game?’

I personally prefer ten years of DLC.

One way I look at is that I have a pretty high end PC and I still can't run this game at maxed out settings.  What improvements to DR3 would even be possible without a major jump in computing power.

I would love a game with the soft-body dynamics of  BeamNG, the terrain deformation of Spintires, the model fidelity of DR2, the car count of an early GT game but I would also like run it without melting my computer or spending Train Simulator $ on it.

I will go ahead and vote for more DLC (even if it never gets released on Oculus*)

*I got impatient and bought the game again on Steam,

More Germany (vineyards valley) and Greece would also be very welcome. And at least another tarmac location (San Remo, Japan or Corsica...)

The problem with new stages for existing locations is how they'd be included in the community challenges. For a new Germany track, would the first Germany dlc be required ? I think codies could, at the end of season 4, replace DR2.0 standard edition on the stores for a DR2.0 Year One edition with all the dlcs, for a higher price. But it would still be a mess for those who doesn't have the complete dlcs content...

Perhaps then it would be more likely we could expect expansions to existing locations for when DiRT Rally 03 comes along!

Two seasons with 0 rear-wheel drive cars. 3 more cars to a class that is about to get its 7th car in a few days. Also the current WRC cars are not included for a pretty specific reason: license. I imagine Codies would include the most marketable rally cars if it was up to them.

I really miss the Saab. If devs won't get a license they should add it without it. Probably nobody would care 😄

As many rally stages and locations as they can possibly do.

More R-GT cars.

We have already a lot of R-GT cars.

What I would love to see is a new class called H1 RWD.
And also more cars for classes who have only 2 or 3...

Anyway, there(s a topic for the cars wishlist :

H1 is not great. Kind of fun from time to time, but towards the bottom.  H2 RWD could use more.

NR4 needs more, but I'm not sure how many actually existed in the first place.

And absolutely R-GT rallycross versions.lol

There is an argument why R-GT class should be a class that gets a lot of cars: because unlike any other rally class from 90s onwards, unlike RX supercars and S1600s, it allows cars that are vastly different from each other. R5, WRC, R2 are extremely homogenous with identical specs and regulations which dictate almost everything about the car, so the result is cars that are not that different from each other. Whereas in R-GT, you can have front-engined, mid-engined (currently there is none in DR2.0), rear-engined cars. You can have cars with 1.8 engines (ditto), 3.0 or massive V8s. You can have turbo or naturally aspirated engines. You can have lightweight cars like Alpine and Abarth, or heavy cars with much more hp like Mustang. For the first time since 80s there is a class with real technical diversity.

The newer R-GT's like Porsche 718 and Alpine A110 could even be made into a separate class, as they are a tad more advanced than the early R-GT's like Porsche 997. And since it's not even a requirement for the in-game cars to be actual R-GT cars (Mustang and Camaro are GT4 racecars that have never participated in R-GT rally) the possibilies are enormous.

Also because R-GT class are (this is a subjective opinion of course) the most awesome cars in rally racing for years, decades even. A sim racer's wet dream, not just some cars that are there to make up the numbers.

But I though the Federation Internationale de I'Automobile confiscated the WRC license from Codemasters.
