Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to bring Mission Winnow as DLC in the Game? So it’s not a huge problem then, because the people under 18 can‘t buy DLC‘s because, they  not allowed to buy PSC‘s etc. And it’s more realistic to have Mission Winnow in the game. So please bring it as DLC . Or you can release 2 games, 1 time without Mission Winnow and 1 time with Mission Winnow but only for +18

Why as dlc? why not bringing the livery in the game at release?

Ferrari could not run the livery in Australia, because it is basically a subliminal Philip Morris Marlboro advertisement. And that may occur again this season, so no mission winnow just like no Williams Martini last year, dlc or otherwise.

Then why is the 2006 Renault Team Spirit livery in the game?

Mild Seven is a tobacco manufacturer.

In this case MissionWinnow by Ferrari, or For A Better Future by McLaren should be allowed as well, or Team Spirit for the 2006 Renault needs to get scrapped.

All or nothing.

Also, age restriction is a myth, because at the current data at hand the game, theoretically by the logic conjured through the numerous assumptions of other community members, should be classified for 18+ because of the inclusion of Renaults Team Spirit livery, yet the game is available for 0+ / 3+ of age internationally.

Can someone from CM please officially clarify the reasoning behind this issue of not adding all sponsors into the game and the contradictory display of car liveries we got?

That's not the same thing - at least have your facts straight before arguing the point.

"Team Spirit" was not an actual trademark, just alternate words that had nothing to do with the actual brand - if it was, it wouldn't have been allowed to be used at tobacco-banned races in reality either. McLaren used the names of the drivers to accomplish the same thing, do you want to say that they were tobacco brand related? :classic_biggrin:

Mission Winnow was a trademark of PMI, which is very much a tobacco company. You could argue that it's not exactly <insert tobacco brand name here> and that it should be allowed, but that's another argument altogether, and not a battle that Codemasters need/want to get themselves involved with. PEGI 3 may also not allow it anyway.

Interesting, thanks for sharing your insight.

But still, Team Spirit at Renault (the blue color of the livery included) and Mika / David at McLaren Mercedes had the same style and font as the original brand name same as Honda with their blank or stylized Lucky Strike logo etc., and Renaults blue color is striking to see in the game as it was the one that Mild Seven was known for, whereas Williams did not get the Red Martini Stripes on their car in the past couple of years.

Anyways, alternatives are needed instead of leaving complete blank areas on the cars.

Well, we tried in F1 2018 to make the skin as it was from the Japanese GP, but the skin model was very terrible and could not modify the engine cover... I hope this year they make the skin model as we can edit also the engine cover. If you see the mods of the Mission Winnow logo on RaceDepartment, you'll see that they're all done on the Williams chassis, which allow to edit the engine cover (As there was the Martini logo). For us PC gamers we can just pray that they will make the engine cover of the Ferrari skin moddable.

What about the hypocrisy of online bookmaker Sport Pesa on the Racing Point being changed to that company's own website spscore.com?

Searching for spscore.com naturally brings up results to do with Sport Pesa, just in the same way that searching for Mission Winnow and A Better Tomorrow brings up results to do with their respective tobacco companies.

How is having references to a bookmaker on cars in a video game any different to references to a tobacco company?
