F1 2019 SOUNDS

Recommended Posts

Hello guys so from what we've seen at the moment the onboard sounds are not even near realistic as the should be.  @Faya and everyone here from your experience do you think they are work in progress sounds or this is the final version of the game without the 2019 cars that will be added in the game on release. Now something more, when f1 2018 was announced the sound of ferrari engine was the same so that makes me worried because the sounds of the engines are like f1 2014 not even near to real life. I don't know why they are so bad i mean 1 year ago they were pretty good actually they needed a few tweaks and they would be awesome for this years game but why they have failed so much?

Mercedes sounds absolutely horrible in the video below. It really sounds like a low quality recording ( could actually be the recording ) and edited version of the 2014 cars. The only engine sound that sounded most closely to reality to me was Renault. Honda sounds too low pitched, Ferrari whistles way too much, making it too high pitched and again, Mercedes sounds nowhere near like the current IRL engine. Other aspects of the game should have priority obviously, however, if it is possible to rework the sounds then I hope they do before release.

THE VIDEO

It's all going to stay that way. You should know Codemasters enough after so long to know that F1 will be bad in 2019.

Es wird alles so bleiben. Ihr solltet nach so langer Zeit Codemasters genug kennen, um zu wissen, dass das F1 2019 schlecht wird.

Quoted this in a different thread of yours already, but...

If this is the final audio mix, Mercedes is still missing its unique turbo whistle sound...

F1 2018 had a good baseline for the sound of the Mercedes engine, only thing missing back then was the unique turbo whistle sound itself, everything else for the Mercedes was pretty close to real life onboard footages.

Sadly F1 2019s Mercedes is off and not even close to the one we had in F1 2018 in my honest opinion, it sounds more like a Honda.

Hope they will fix it as soon as possible.

Ferrari sounds pretty neat this year and is a huge step forward, but in lower rpms the turbo whistle should be a bit more apparent imo.

Honda misses its unique off throttle growling sound this year, but is pretty close to real life in general.

Renault is a big surprise, it made a huge improvement since last year, but it's missing the high turbo whistle, or at least it is not as noticeable.

Undertray plank spark sound effects are too silent.

In cockpit mode a muffled filter would be a nice addition to replicate the sound that the drivers hear inside their helmet.

Offboard in spectator mode / replay / flashback the cars are too silent, but the offboard sound fidelity has been improved drastically since last year, that is a plus.

Still time to adjust and improve the rest, hope to hear a more lifelike representation til release.

I agree, the onboard engine sounds don't really measure up to those you hear humming away while you're watching an F1 grand prix on your TV screen, this is a part of development that's lacking for sure but who knows, perhaps a modding community will mod the engine sounds of the cars to emulate the real life onboard sounds.  We'll just have to wait and see I guess! What do you think @Faya ? Will the current engine sounds be in the final release of F1 2019 or will they be reworked before release day?
