DiRT Rally 2.0 – Season 2, Week 1 – Available June 4

Recommended Posts

Hello DiRT fans!

The offroad action continues this week with Season 2, and here’s a quick look at what’s coming on June 4. Release times will vary depending on your region and platform.

New cars:

Group B Rallycross is here!

Week 1 sees the release of the first 2 cars in this Class, the Peugeot 205 T16 Rallycross and the Ford RS200 Evolution. Group B rally cars are some of the most fearsome and spectacular in DiRT Rally 2.0 and the thrills are set to continue on the Rallycross circuits with these 2 machines.

If you’re a Deluxe Edition or Season Pass owner both cars will be automatically added to your My Team garage, and no matter how you own the DLC both cars are available in Free Play, Time Trial and Multiplayer. Both cars will have 5 selectable liveries in-game, the defaults you see here plus 4 custom designs.

As always, if you’re not a DiRT Rally 2.0 Season owner the vehicles are available for purchase individually. You may need to download items from the store for them to appear in-game.

Now, let’s look at these 2 mighty machines!

Peugeot 205 T16 Rallycross

The Peugeot 205 T16 was purpose built for Group B rally and cemented itself as one of the most successful cars in its group. The car was, like many of its rivals, modified for use in rallycross, becoming a successful front-runner in Europe. Modifications included a new aero kit, an extreme rear wing, and increased engine power output.

·         Max Power: 480 bhp

·         Max Weight: 960 kg

·         Engine: 1775 cc, 4 cylinders

·         Aspiration: Turbo

·         Transmission: 5 Speed – Manual

·         Mid-Engined, 4WD

Ford RS200 Evolution

RS200_Latvia_4.jpg

The Ford RS200 never had the opportunity to shine in Group B rally. This changed however, when the car was entered into its first European Rallycross Championship event. The car demonstrated incredible performance characteristics, winning multiple events between 1986-1992, and winning the championship in 1991. Typically producing around 580 hp, the RS200 could accelerate from 0-60 in a little over 2 seconds.

·         Max Power: 450 bhp

·         Max Weight: 1180 kg

·         Engine: 1803 cc, 4 cylinders

·         Aspiration: Turbo

·         Transmission: 5 Speed - Manual

·         Mid-Engined, 4WD

Other bonuses:

Season owners will also be able to access a new livery for the following cars:

·         Lancia Fulvia HF

·         Opel Kadett C GT/E

·         Ford RS200 (Rally)

·         Volkswagen Polo GTI R5

·         SUBARU WRX STI Rallycross

Finally, Season owners will receive their Credits drop on June 4: a 200,000 CR boost to help with buying, upgrading and repairing their cars.

Season 2 Calendar

Here’s a look at the full Season 2 content calendar. Both Seasons 1 and 2 of DiRT Rally 2.0 are available with the Deluxe Edition of the game, or the Deluxe Content Pack if you already own the base game.

·         DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Content Pack: Steam

·         DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Content Pack: PlayStation

·         DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Content Pack: Xbox

The next DLC location (Latvia RX) is only 2 weeks away, coming on June 18!

First off, congratulations PJ on your new journey with Codies! I'm not a huge RX fan but looking forward to trying these beasts. I'm most excited for the RWD Group B additions and Wales. Can't wait 😍

Would it be possible to get an update that allows all standard Rally cars be usable on the RX tracks in the custom championships mode and vice-versa?

I understand the strict limitations for the Career modes, but why can't we use whatever, wherever in the custom modes for fun?

That's something i really want to see, use all the rally cars on the RX tracks. The H2 and H3 cars would be a lot of fun for RX.

hey, if anyone from CM reads this... would it be possible for all these bonus liveries to be available somehow without that D+ logo on the hood?

liveries 3 and 4 are quite nice - much better than 1 and 2 in my opinion - but that D+ is just an eyesore 😕

it'd be better if it was a stylized cm or dr2.0 logo or something, but nothing at all would be best. the livery looks great otherwise.

but a D+? nobody asked for this. nobody will use them much because it looks awful. therefore it's not even good marketing.

(to be clear I'm just referring to the one on the hood. the others are fine!)

+1 to Ian's request about removing the D+ and 'season 2' logos from liveries - the liveries are improving but the logos are eyesores IMO; would much prefer a number plate personally.

Great news to have you on board though PJ: Good luck dealing with us lot!

Congrats PJTierney!

Any word on the next patch and what it might fix?

I'm holding back from playing now until the 'too-dark lighting' issue is hopefully resolved.

For some reason, the new liveries do not stay in the cars once selected. When leaving and reentering, those cars (fulvia, kadett, rs200, polo gti, subaru wrx) return to have the livery "1"

So if the RS200 in RX trim "typically produced around 580hp..." why is it a 450hp RX car in game?

When PS4 users get those cars to game?
Installed them at PSN Store but not appear to game.
When try to start challenge with that car class I get missing entitlements notification (attachment)

There are few others at Gossip thread and at DiRT Twitter, so maby our new community manager could tell something about this case?

Seen a few people have this issue today.

First, make sure the cars are installed. You may have to do this manually though the PlayStation Store (sounds like you already have).

Then restart your game.

You’ll know if the DLC files are installed if you can select those cars in Free Play and Time Trial.

If you’re still getting entitlement errors in My Team after that then things get tricky.

There was this on Twitter though:

Yes installed those from PSN start menu under DiRT Rally 2.0 by going to Store (before launching the game).
After that started game...and done that multiple times without succes.
When go back to store there states that those are purchaced.

No, cars are not preset at Free Play / Time Trial.

I have deluxe version and all previous DLCs worked just fine and never had to do re-activating licenses.
If that is caused by your game, then maby you can give step by step instructions how to do it?!
