How is F2 integrated into career mode?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how the F2 cars are going to be integrated into career mode- is it going to be that you can start with an F2 team then get a contract offer from a mid-table F1 team like Racing Point at the end of the season to advance up? It would be amazing if it was like this...

3 scripted race events that will determine how good contract you will get in F1 and your relationship with your 2 rivals.

So in other words.... not very well integrated.

for any other developer, correct.

for CodepasteMasters, the best they can do. Maybe in 2020 or 2021.

another example is the "legends" bit, its just stock 'challenges' that are in 2018 but you drive as Prost or Senna, and the 1st place driver is whichever one you didn't drive as.

It's LOL worthy if it wasn't so lame.

Compared to MotoGP 19 in terms of customization, historical events or lower series looks F1 like an amateur.

Really don’t get why they didn’t just add a “F2 Career” mode option. At the very least just to allow us to do a full season with our own custom character rather than being limited to having to drive as another driver from the grid. Ah well, maybe next year.

I like it when it is just like this, I want to drive F1 cars not F2....so some quick events is enough for me on the F2, nice to have it, but honestly do you care?

Absoluteley yes, I'd love to do a career mode with a full season of F2, actually making your way up and earning an F1 drive. There could always be the option to turn it off or reduce it to the three events for those who don't want it.

I'm sure we will see additional content down the line.

I'd like to involve the junior driver programs from Ferrari, Sauber, etc. And start from the bottom. Fingers crossed

I am honestly skipping f1 this year for the 1st time ever.

1) the actual F1 product is getting very meh to me now which translated to the games.

2) The games have barely moved forward since 2016.

3) Bugs from yonks ago still in the game.

4) Penalty system is as broke as in real life 😄

From what I've heard this is exactly what will happen in this year's career mode: you have to sign for a junior program initially.

This is why I'll be giving 2019 a skip and wait for when they properly implement it. I've seen enough 2019 videos to be over the graphics improvement hype, and I'm not paying full price for a glorified season update again.

The story mode does less than nothing for me, all I want is 1 or 2 full seasons in F2 at the start of career mode, and then normal career mode with bug fixes/refinements. But hey, I guess people will be able to drive with a Sauber again this year that is 10KM/h faster in a straight line than the actual Ferrari factory team. And don't forget the tedious practice programmes, which apparently has no better way to be implemented.

Somehow "improve career mode, fix the bugs" has translated into "moar cutscenes, moar racing-unrelated story lines". But it's apparently what the kids want.

First one I'm skipping as well, but I'm fine with other sims at the moment.
