Recommended Posts

Hi all! As always, you can find also find this on our blog here.

----

F1 2019 is coming this month, which is why we’re answering some of your most asked questions right here on our blog! If you missed our latest trailer (featuring Brian Tyler’s iconic Formula 1 theme) you can find it right here:

When is F1 2019 released?

F1 2019 releases on the 28th June with the Anniversary Edition. The Legends Edition releases with 3 days’ early access on the 25th June.

What platforms will it be available on?

It will be available on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X and Windows PC (DVD and via Steam).

Does the Legends Edition of F1 2019 include early access to the game?

Yes, you’ll be able to get your hands on the game on the 25th June, though if you’re in the US and Canada, it’s the digital version only that’s available three days early. For those outside this location, this is dependent on your local retailer, though buying it digitally will guarantee you early access.

Are both the 2010 McLaren MP4-25 and 2010 Ferrari F10 included in the Legends Edition of F1 2019, or do we need to buy the Anniversary Edition to get them?

Yes, both the 2010 McLaren MP4-25 and 2010 Ferrari F10 are included in the Legends Edition. That’s not forgetting that in the Legends Edition you’ll get to drive as Ayrton Senna in his 1990 McLaren MP4/5B and Alain Prost in the Ferrari F1-90, face-off over eight race challenges, and receive exclusive Senna and Prost themed multiplayer car liveries! You can see more on this in our trailer right here!

Is there a Steelbook for F1 2019?

Yes, there is, you can find out more here – it’s available in local markets via exclusive retailers!

Will we have the official and final 2019 cars on release?

Yes! We showed off the final cars on our blog right here. Previously, some of the cars we’ve used in the trailers we’ve been showing off so far have been the 2019 regulation cars designed in collaboration with Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds – and you can find out more in our announcement blog about F1 2019 right here –  the good news is that you we can tell you that you will be getting the full, final cars on release! You’ll just need to make sure that you’re online, so that we can update them for you!

Will we get both the Sprint and Feature race when playing F2?

Yes! The full F2 2018 season is playable in F1 2019, separate to career mode, and all F2 gameplay complies with the features and rules of F2. F2 cars are also available in Time Trial, Grand Prix mode (on all tracks, not just the official F2 tracks), as well as a variety of F2 championship modes. And that’s not to mention that you’ll experience F2 as a brand new introduction to F1 2019’s career mode, as well as getting to hear the commentary of Alex Jacques and Davide Valsecchi.

Will we be getting the 2019 update to the F2 season, and if so, when will it be coming?

Yes, we’re bringing you the 2019 update to the F2 season as a free download post launch, we’ll be keeping you up to date as to when we’ll be bringing these to you!

Will we be able to play F2 in multiplayer?

Yes, you’ll be able to play F2 in both Unranked and LAN modes and we will be bringing this to you as a free download post launch!

Can you customise your car, driver suit in F1 2019, and where can you use them in-game?

Yes, you can! You can customise your driver suit, gloves and multiplayer car – some customisation will cost you competition points, which we’ll talk about more below. Your driver suit and gloves will be used in your multiplayer games and will also be used when you’re driving the classic cars, whether in career mode, or in any other game mode.

With the Legends Edition, both Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost’s likenesses have also been added to the Career mode, and you’ll also receive exclusive Senna and Prost themed multiplayer car liveries.

You can check all of this out for yourself in our latest F1 2019 livestream right here:

Where can we use the multiplayer car, and can we still use the official cars in our multiplayer games?

The multiplayer car can be used across multiplayer, though you can also use the official team cars in unranked, leagues and LAN games too!

Could you tell us about competition points? What are they and how do they work?

Competition points can be earnt in many different ways. You can earn them by taking part in weekly events, completing weekly objectives in Ranked multiplayer and keeping a clean Safety rating. One of the ways you can use them is to customise your multiplayer car, suit, gloves etc. Competition points can’t be bought, but if you’d like, you can also purchase some of our premium liveries suits or gloves with currency, though all of these are for cosmetic purposes only, and don’t affect your performance in any way.

Could you tell us more about the automated race highlights system?

Yes, certainly – the replays will capture your best moments from your races and show them to you in the form of a highlights reel! You can save these and view them in ‘Theatre’ in the game menu, and if you’re playing on PC, you’ll be able to export your highlight reels as well.

Does F1 2019 have a customisable HUD?

If you’re playing on PC, yes, you’ll be able to customise the HUD. We’ll be revealing more about this soon!

Where can I pre-order F1 2019, and can I pre-order it in my country?

You can pre-order F1 2019 from formula1-game.com, or on various first party stores below:

  • no word on if we can skip the F2 events prior to career and/or avoid fake drivers in F1?

  • no word on sponsors for career helmets?

  • why can't we customize the HUD on consoles?

How cool, you can say that this post of yours is a joke and put the correct post, because it is not possible such a thing, sincerely it is unbelievable that I read a post of these. How are you answering our questions? Seriously, how? In fact the questions remain and they have opened up more questions to be discussed.

- Why can not you customize the HUD on consoles? Is that some joke? If so, I'm sorry, I did not find it funny, and what's the plausible explanation for that? Seriously this HUD does not swallow, I sincerely hope you change this idea until the launch and allow us consoles to also edit the HUD, somo players also ok? and I think we paid like everyone else for the game, right?

- Answered "so many" questions that my doubts about the career mode is the same as yesterday and since always, you have answered only things that you have already released in other opportunities, joke, just a joke.

- You are playing with your consumers, I am a fan of your game and F1, I have always bought since 2010, but I can not and should not accept this negligence, I made my pre sale, I was betting on your game but I start to see that I made a bad choice to buy in advance, if this is the way they want to respond to the feedback they receive then it will probably be the last F1 game I buy from you Codemasters, I apologize to the community if anyone feels offended by what I I'm writing here, but it's revolting, a hug to everyone.

Bonjour a tous, plusieurs chose!

Aweful corporate version of Q&A rather than answering actual questions we ask on the forum.

This has to be the worst pre launch ever so littl about a game so close to a release!

How about an official answer on VR?

To make this easier, I've listed three options below.

Options:

1. No. Like 2017, there are still challenges with providing the full F1 experience in VR.

2. Maybe. Like Dirt Rally 2.0, we will be working after release to provide a VR experience for F1 2019, but we do not have a concrete date on when we can deliver that feature. Note: The experience may be limited to PC.

3. Yes. Surprise!

I still would like to know why the USA shows all of the editions to come out on June 28th.  Has anyone been able to clarify this?  Am I really getting this game 3 days after you guys say so?  This is an important question for those of us in the USA that want the legends edition or already have it preordered at a retailer.

Nope. No assists and cockpit is exactly how I play the game 👍

Tried a psychiatrist but stalking him didn't help!

How does the R&D and the contract system for this year look like? If it is the same as last year, why can't you just say that? Do you really think I am not going to buy the game if it is the same?
