In championship mode you can drive a full season with all tracks in F2 2018 season:
April 6-8: Sakhir
April 27-29: Baku
May 11-13: Barcelona
May 24-26: Monaco
June 22-24: Paul Ricard
June 29-July 1: Red Bull Ring
July 6-8: Silverstone
July 27-29: Hungaroring
August 24-26: Spa
August 31-September 2: Monza
September 28-30: Sochi
November 23-25: Yas Marina

But not with your own personal driver. You have to pick one of the 2018 F2 drivers.

True, and that's a bit disappointing. But they never claimed you could, and that was the discussion.

You can pretend right? Use your imagination. Or take one of the drivers from the f2 2018 season into Formula 1 😉

Well modding makes it possible to edit a drivers name

What does my ability to read have to do with codies saying something inaccurately one day and then explaining it accurately the next week?

If I was not able to read I would not post the screenshot proving that I myself made a mistake/misunderstood the wording.

I didn't see your rectification before posting my way too snarky comment.

I still don't agree with your first point though, Codies never said they'd implement the full F2 season into career mode. In fact, one of the first things that was 'leaked' about F1 2019 was that there would be a few scenarios to get the story going, and F2 championship could be done separate from career.

I think the discussion is wrong anyway. The contention most people have here is that F2 is the new thing in career mode, and it's a failure because it'll be over quick. In reality, the story based career is the new feature, and F2 is merely a way to get that new feature started. Now, you may not like a partially scripted career mode (and I'm not sure I'll like this one), but I do think that's a significant addition to the game, even if I personally may not love it that much.

Yeah 2015 was poor not having a career mode and everything. It had really nice graphics though probably the best in the series thus far it's definitely better graphically than 2016 17 and 18 though. I can't compare it with 2019 yet though because until I see it face to face and have it running on my machine I won't judge it because I know that youtube vids can be slightly distorting. But seeing as I hav ecareers on the other games to finish it could be a while yet before that happens

do you think that codemasters will react with patches?

There will always be patches there always is with any new game. We do know that there will be a day 1 patch that will correct the order and put Merc at the front and Williams at the back as the order of play isn't quiet right atm. I'll probably start with Williams though when I start mine as I don't like seeing them at the back so I'll be doing my best to help bring them back to the front that is when and if I get it later on.

Few months ago:

"They need to fix multiplayer and glitches before they add another bunch of content"

Codies: *releases game focused on features and improvements to multiplayer*

"NOTHING NEW? WHAT A JOKE I AM NOT BUYING ABSOLUTE SHAME, NICE 2 YEARS OF WORK"

Calm down people please, if they sorted out multiplayer it will be a way better game, better than glitched game with massive amount of bugs as a result of 107362 career features.

Why do people keep referring to multiplayer in a career topic? I don't play multiplayer and I'm happy for them they got some nice updates but that doesn't make it any better for the singleplayers. I'll calm down in 2020 if they add lots of improvements to career mode.

So once again you can choose your team? That's stupid. You should have to earn your seat and not just pick Ferrari or Mercedes straight away. And example if i get fired from Williams there's no way you have free choice after that to go what ever team you want! Sorry my enghlis, but you get the point.

I don't think Codies is that much to blame for the fact that you can choose every team in career mode. In the end younger people and casual fans still want to play that game as well. I doubt those 2 groups I named want to start in a midfield or backmarker team necessarily.

I also don't think the HUD is that much to blame. People wanted an Offical HUD, and Codies made it closer to the official TV graphics (they even used the official font which everyone now hates all of a sudden), while still maintaining a balance between Game and TV Graphics. Personally I don't see a point in seeing all 20 drivers or having the Halo Speedometer, it would just **** me off because it takes away space.

I can't blame them for keeping the paddock similar, they've added a whole new range of customization, and 3 F2 scenarios instead after all. I don't see anything wrong with the current paddock either. "But I want to walk around the paddock" I hear you say. Now, what is the point of walking around the paddock? You're gonna be stunned for the first time, and then you're probably not gonna use it again.

And then there's people complaining that there's only 1 helmet model, which I can't understand at all.

The ridiculous amounts of critism on this forum baffles me again and again.

They did make a major addition to career though. You might not like it but dont act as if nothing’s been changed.

oh let me rephrase it then. 🙄 They did not add anything new to the F1 career except for an ugly HUD I never asked for

Again, you’re wrong. The story that starts in F2 scenarios will continue into your F1 career, for multiple seasons as I understand it.

You are actually right. I remember saying once that CM should not listen to their overly aggressive fanbase because doing what hardcore fans demands always kills a game. Some people wanted F2 and those that wanted it are now not happy with it. People wanted a TV HUD and now all of a sudden they realize that the official broadcast style does not work for a HUD because the font of the HUD is difficulty the read when you are racing.

Now we got a game that nobody likes. Thanks fanbase 😤

learn to read; I even added it in bold: F1 career. F2 is just an intro don't say it's actually part of career. You play it 20 minutes and it's gone!

F2 scenarios is how you start your career progression, so yeah, it’s part of the career. And then it continues with lukas and whatshisface in the base F1 career.
