Bahrain Sun bug [ZX]

Recommended Posts

I went through every track just to make sure but for me, its only happening in Bahrain with the sun up. It is extremely glitched and flashes blue. When you face the sun, it looks like Thor is coming to Earth with the Bifrost (Thanks Heimdall but not in Bahrain). When you're back is to the sun, most of it is corrected except for the reflection on the car that remain glitched. I have attached a screenshot.

Running latest Nvidia drivers at 3440x1440 21:9 Ultrawide. Windows 10 (fully updated). DX11 and DX12 both show same glitch. It even shows the glitched sun on the big screens on the track. I have tried changing most of my Nvidia driver settings, changed resolutions, changed monitors (moved it to my 16:9 second monitor), and lowered all the graphics settings to low. Still looks like this.

I have just tried re-seating my GTX1080 in my case, cleaning the contacts off, downgraded the graphics drivers one version, and even in the rain, its still doing it only in Bahrain. CURSE YOU SUN!

Hi @vauldur, thanks for posting!

Could you send me your DXDiag and Hardware settings please so I can get our PC guys to investigate further? Thanks!

Edit: Whoops! It helps if I let you know how to do these things and where to send it if you're not sure. Can you also try validating you game? Just in case :

Validating F1 2019 downloaded correctly

  1. Open Steam and go to the Library tab
  2. Right click on F1 2019 and select Properties
  3. Go to the Local Files tab and click Verify Integrity Of Game Files

How to save a DXDiag

In Windows 8, Windows 10:

  1. Press the [Windows]+[R] keys on your keyboard to bring up the Run command.
  2. In the "Run" command box, type in dxdiag and press <Enter>. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool pop-up window should appear.
  3. Click on "Save all Information."
  4. Save the information to your Desktop, keep the file name as is.
  5. Send that file to us at community(AT)codemasters.com (replacing the (AT) with an @ )

How to send us your in-game hardware settings file

  1. Browse to your hard drive where windows in installed
  2. Browse to "...\Documents\My Games\F1 2019\"

actually, no need to send information. After validating my files, 4 files were identified as invalid and Bahrain appears to be restored. First time that's happened for me. Thank you for the suggestion!
