F1 2019 - mechanical issues

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I want know: it is possible to have mechanical issues during races?

In F1 2018: 160 races (8 seasons), and 0 mechanical issue during races.

Sorry for my English :)

Thanks

I don't think so. It is pretty much the same like last year. You can get failures, if you wor out your components beyond 60-80%.

In F1 2018 the AI had to many car failures. It was not realistic at all. Not sure if that has changed in 2019. I hope so.

All I want is an option to turn off the ai's mechanical issues. Is that really too much to ask?

Just be more realistic with engine parts and you’ll have some mechanical failures.  This is something I’m gonna do with my career, really try to push the parts to 7 races or 10/11 races depending on the allocation limits.  In games past I would tactically take grid penalties at places like Baku, Monza, Spa, places like that that we’re easily recoverable from and end up with 5,6,7 iterations of each part all with about 40-50% wear. Granted you can still do this tactically and take a new engine at Canada then use the first one again at Budapest we’re power isn’t as important.
