F1 2019 drs on cockpit

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

There is a way to check when the drs is enabled in the cockpit view? At the moment only some cars shows a led for drs availability but not when activated.

Thanks.

When DRS is available but not yet activated the light flashes. Its very subtle but you can notice it if you focus on it.

It should be a little more obvious than that. In the Alfa Romeo I have no idea whether it is open until I look in the mirror with Look Left/Right.

I agree, the flashing doesn't stand out unless you really focus, it flickers so short you don't really notice it. It could definitely be a lot more obvious, like using different colours as an indicator or making the flashing more pronounced.

Agreed. For the Alfa, it's 2 green LEDs when it's available. Why don't they just put one of them out whilst it's active? Or better yet, replicate what it is in real life.

Nope don't see any flashing in a Merc ... I been looking hard and no it don't not in my version.

If it was not for my view settings or headphones I would never know.

Can be useful as workaround give the permission to view the drs widget of the other views also on the cockpit..

If you have an Android Device and you are willing to use it for additional information, you could try my SIM Dashboard App and use one of LED Bar Widgets.

They have options:

  • to show the DRS Availability on the 1st LED (default green)
  • to either turn on the 2nd LED
  • or the first five LED's once DRS is activated

That can be configured on any of the LED Bar Widgets.

Here is an example Design where those options are activated on the upper LED Bar.

In the screenshot DRS is currently off

Beside that there is also a DRS Widget which can be placed on the screen like on this Design:

Although not the only great telemetry app out there I use this one with a completely customized display on my tablet. Total game changer. Shows full tire info /car damage /gaps to ahead and behind drivers /DRS red indicator (red when available green when deployed) / current race or Qual position /fuel remaining /ERS and fuel map setting used /penalties on me etc etc. That's just my custom display... You can design your own from scratch with custom colors or use one of hundreds of presets others have uploaded. This app was easily worth a few bucks to buy for me, although the trial is free with only 3 widgets (displayed data segments) available.

Sorry if I sound like I'm working for the dev but I'm not. It really is THAT good!
