pmaguire651 0 Posted March 29, 2015 I got the game a few months ago but quickly uninstalled it as I was extremely disappointed in it. Decided to give it another go recently but again Ive found myself getting increasingly annoyed with the AI in game. Specifically the time difference between Expert and Legend. For Example in Q2 in Australia I found myself 0.7 seconds faster than the rest of the field in a Williams (on expert) but when I inreased the difficulty to Legend, even though i put in a lap roughly 0.5 seconds faster than my previous time, I found myself 2.1 seconds slower than Rosberg and even more annoyingly, 1.8 seconds slower than my team mate Massa. 1 step up in difficulty should not equate to AI decreasing time by nearly 3 seconds. Does anyone have a fix for this to make the game enjoyable in anyway? Ive tried database mods but they havent made any real difference. Any help would be seriously appreciated,Paul

JJRosso 0 Posted March 29, 2015 Im in the same boat but its because the ai have upgraded cars from the start and use TC. I usually set it to expert and use balanced setups. Only use lean fuel for qualy and depending on the track, no drs also. Then in the race, dont go down the inside into the first few corners, that way overtaking at the start is harder. Only use lean for the first 2 stints and see where you are at. That way you can preserve your tyres (even though its abit scripted) and then up the fuel mix for the last stint and go for it. Also for wet races i put on TC and in expert its just about right. Hope this helps. Of course you can play in Legend and the day you finally get a victory you will be like Vettel winning for the first time in a Ferrari!
DarkRedslayer 43 Posted March 30, 2015 I struggled with that when I started playing F1 2012. It was my first F1 game and If I ran professional I was on average 2 seconds slower but on intermediate, I averaged about 2 seconds faster (against my team mate). I did well on certain tracks and could win on pro in a Sauber, but other tracks, I stood no chance in anything, even a Mclaren. Lol. A lot of the tracks I'd never raced on before as they haven't been in racing games I have played over the years since the mid 90s when I started getting into racing. So I raced a Marussia on Inter for a season, and only used kers in QL and went all car for the race.Won 9 races and had a lot of fun.It really helped me improve, because it gave me confidence that I could actually win even on tracks I wasn't good at with time. After one season there, I went to Mclaren and back to Pro difficulty, and won 15 races. But the frustration I endured when I first started nearly made me not play anymore, because I couldn't get a happy medium. They really do need to add more difficulty settings or a slider to reduce the gap between them.
KR3 0 Posted April 1, 2015 I'm reasonably quick on expert difficulty i.e. I make Q3 and points finish at all the races... so I turn it up to legend at my arguably quickest track (Spa) and I got into Q2 on a perfect lap but got 15th for my troubles and then in the race I had a 40 lap scrap with Kvyat and Perez resulting in a 10th place finish in my Ferrari, there is too much of a gap between expert and legend is my main point here...
