F1 2015 Information Thread

Recommended Posts

As promised, here is a thread where I'll be posting information/news/developments on the new F1 2015 game! I'm making this thread so there's a place where loads of information can be found in one place, instead of having to fish around different places to find what you need.

You can also contribute with any information and sources taken from blog posts, or Tweets from developers, or images/videos, and posts by developers on the forums, etc. It's inevitable that I will miss the odd piece of information, so if you have any then please post it here and I'll add it to the list!

Please note that not all the information is listed here yet as there's a lot of stuff for me to go through.

I checked out the official Steam page (http://store.steampowered.com/app/286570/), and, well... It has some good info! Although Requirements might be a placeholder for now.

Yeah I took info from there as well in my edited post which I lost! I'll go through it again tomorrow.

And thanks a lot @MartijnAL!

EDIT: Wait, I didn't delete it after all! It was hiding behind my Spotify tab (was listening to the new Codies #MusicMonday playlist by the way ;) ) on the desktop! You can now view the extra information in the first two posts!

Any news about Multiplayer ?

It really needs sorting, ditch the p2p idea, have proper feature's to help run and promote league racing, include practice sessions, better control for the hosts such as moderation and the ability to restart sessions, races etc.

much older games on the ps3 have these features and more, such as GT6   etc..

it would be nice to see.

The only information I've found on Multiplayer is that there will be online practice sessions (confirmed by justbiglee on the forums). Apart from that, no other info has been announced, but it will be at a later date. I think your ideas are awesome though and they would be so good for leagues! I used to run a league myself and I always wanted some kind of extra moderation tools for the hosts.

Thanks for doing this thread, it's good of you. Great idea and it should prevent the place being cluttered which would have happened otherwise.

@justbiglee,  @LiteralZero
Will there be a photo mode in replay? Love that feature on Driveclub. Can't believe how many time I've spent, instead of racing, pausing the game in action, heading into photomode and creating a lovely next-gen picture!

if you're still using 32bit then I8 guess you're out of luck because to use games that aer of the PS4 XB1 variety you are going to need 64

I thought 64bit was next-gen...?, and I don't mean that in a 'funny' way...

I haven't used a 32bit system since Windows XP!

Consoles are not nextgen they are always going to be oldgen compared to PC's, windows 7 comes in 32 or 64 bit so does windows 8.

maybe not but I think it's safe to say that both the XB1 and PS4 are both 64bit machines given the level of graphics they're capable of.

PC's have been using 64bit systems/CPU's if they had made F1 just for PC's we could ahve been using a 64bit version a long time ago, but as always consoles hold back the PC side of things.

May I ask why you (as Moderator) put Career under Game Modes? Inside information, or?
I put it as a game mode because I'm I read a few times that there is a career section to the game, I'm sure, so I put it under game modes. If that's later proved wrong then I'll obviously amend it. :)

By the way, I don't have any inside information, I'm simply a forum moderator!
