Before posting, please make sure to follow these guidelines. Without adequate information the team will have trouble identifying and fixing bugs, so please provide as much info as you can:

• Check if a bug has already been reported.
• If you reported a bug in a previous version of the game, check your game first to see if it's been fixed.

Car Unlock Glitch:

Just like with the C4 + Fabia you can glitch the game to unlock the 01 Focus + 01 Subi right now. Same method as before. I have DM’d PJ but if you need more details I can DM anyone from CM the details.

Bug:

• The new "Consolidation Finals" elimination setting in custom RX events needs a toggle on/off in event settings rather than just being on regardless in order to allow us to play the way we want to, simulating Euro RX seasons for example where consolidation finals are not used

I'm getting quite bad stutters in the game now. Every couple of seconds it just freezes for a bit. Both in VR and on normal screen. It's quite jarring especially in VR rendering it basically unplayable. I'm on a 3700x with a 2080 super, so that shouldn't be an issue. Having these regardless of graphical settings.

BUG: New patch reset Graphic Settings.

 

EDIT: Not only graphics reset. Also Sound settings reset. Difficulty settings reset. Some personal vehicle settings no longer present. Head cam position reset in some vehicles. 

 

I reverted to settings I was running before 1.7 update and I am now getting FPS drops that I was not experiencing before. Possibly related to V-Sync. I have to turn off V-Sync now. I have current driver for my graphics card (downloaded today). Also, contrast is much higher than before and changing brightness settings do not effect. I also tried changing contrast on my monitor and it didn't help. 

 

Now I have a poorly optimized game that ran perfect before.

Same issue as JellyD. No VR here, but even the menus are dropping down to 15-40fps at random and the inputs on the controller are no longer responsive. Inputs will be dropped or skipped and later multiplied. The game seems totally broken compared to the last version, and that's not even gameplay. During an actually rally / race there's a lot of new stutters and hitches and freezes, and that's with gsync active. Something is busted somewhere.

Now when I play the game I move up to the next event but it cannot load. I stuck on loading screen. Any ideas why it happens like that?

This patch has definitively busted the game here. MENUS aren't even working properly, framerate drops even there and the menu stops responding to controller inputs only to rubberband them all in consecutively later.

When I manage to actually start an event (have to use a mouse to point and click directly since the gamepad inputs are randomly unreponsive), the gameplay has a lot of random hitches / stuttering / freezes that weren't there before. It's impossible to drive like this. No settings adjustments resolve these new issues.

Please, don't let this go for weeks until the next update, you need to take action and let us downgrade to the previous version via Steam's beta branch feature so we can actually play the game as it was mostly fine before, or revert the patch for all and put 1.7 on the beta branch so people can opt into testing VR support and Dirtfish there. This update should not be live for all of us. The game is unplayable now.

PC/Steam/Standard edition w/some DLC, 4790k/Nv2060/16GB, only the same xbox one gamepad and kb&m peripherals connected as before.

with regard to the performance issues... I don't seem to be having those, and I turned V Sync back on. as you can see, I don't really have a top-end machine either. anyways, on to my bug:

in Sweden, the Ransbysater/Norraskoga route and its sprints put snow on the car, while the Hamra/Lysvik route and its sprints put a small amount of dirt (roughly equivalent to driving a tarmac stage in the wet). if you're in a multi-stage event it is possible for your car to be all snowy, then you go to the next stage and it is covered in mud at the start (and vice versa).

Hi, with the new PC update.
I noticed that the engine sound is not smooth, the sound decreases at medium / low RPM. The audio in wales in replays disappears again. Still in Wales, the effect of the wet is still missing, the trail of water is not visible and the effects of the particles are missing.. @PJTierney

Game has become unplayable due to graphics glitches (freezes every couple of seconds) introduced by this 1.7 update. Changes to graphics seems to make no difference whatsoever - even tried on ultra low settings and no luck! Please, please fix this Codemasters! Every new update seems to introduce new issues.

After reading later posts uninstalled and reinstalled Logitech Profiler and game is now back to normal and playable again thanks to those who suggested link to Logitech wheel affecting graphics performance!

Persistent Bug from previous version: In some cases, items on lower part of repair list in "vehicle preparation" area (before launching an event) remain on "no fix" after pressing "recommended repairs" on default screen. Scroll down to bottom of list and reselecting "recommended repairs". Not sure if it's random or car/track specific.

Today's occurance was as follows:

1. Enter Daily community event Group B 4WD @Spain.
2. Select vehicle Peugeot 205 T16 Evo2
3. Select "Repairs tab"
4. Press button "recommended repairs"
5. Scroll down repair item list and see some items still show "no fix"
6. Press button "recommended repairs" again
7. All items now show recommended repair option.

System Details:

• PC steam, monitor
• RX580 GPU, i5 2500k CPU
• Deluxe
• Fanatec peripherals

Persistent bug from previous version: Sound Cut Out during stage. Work around was to unplug audio device (logitech G35 headphones), wait for windows audible device change notification, then replug headphones.

Today's occurrence was as follows:

1. Enter Daily community event Group B 4WD @Spain.
2. Select vehicle Peugeot 205 T16 Evo2
3. Commence stage
4. Sound cut out during stage approx mid-way
5. Pause game
6. Unplugged headphones
7. Waited for windows audio device change notification
8. Replugged headphones and continued to stage finish with sound.

There is no way to launch with the Oculus API with the steam version. It runs really badly with my 2080ti.

hi pj just a small issue after update when playing daily,weekly,monthly challenges after completing them and looking at rewards there is no green indicator bar showing which tier you finished in.thanks in advance.

Bug reported with the released version 1.7 : all graphic setup disturbed (reseted ?), shadows (of car and movable objects) completely disappeared.  Graphics were already at the edge of quality, now it's really ugly (and new personalization setup trials did not lead to improvement in that regard anymore !!).  What were the possibly improved features with this new version ?
