F1 2019 ERS Bug

Recommended Posts

So after many hours of playing, I finally realised that when having my ERS in "High Mode" it maybe drains down to 3%, but goes down no lower than that I've seen this happen allot for me, when I have been switching from automatic ERS to manual ERS (seems to cause this issue) to test out my difference when racing for personal preference and even though this bug or glitch is beneficial. I think it's a problem as if this is exploited in online it could be an issue. It just gets stuck in "High Mode" even when switching back to automatic.

Xbox One.
Latest Version.
Career but probably transfers over into over game modes.
Using Controller.

Thanks
Adam

I agree. I've just gone into Grand Prix mode in Australia and in both Qualifying and the Race I'm unable to get High mode lower than 5%, no Jeff saying "we need to recharge the battery". Even more disappointing is I can't get Overtake mode lower than 2% and Jeff does ask to recharge at about 7%.

I've been driving without the line to practise but I'm not consistent enough to know if it affects the laptimes (so not showing 0% battery but being fully depleted).

If someone consistent would test, that would determine it. Also, like the OP I used the Mercedes so not sure if it's car specific yet.

Might test a bit more.

So I did Ferrari at Silverstone.

I could get the ERS to zero on Overtake mode.

I could not deplete ERS below 2% on High mode.

It did not seem to affect lap times too greatly.

It would be interesting if someone were to test the Williams (lowest performing car).

I think it might be the performance update has skewed the ERS not going to zero the better the car is.

Needs a bigger sample of tests.

I came across the issue using the Williams.

That would imply it’s affecting the cars more or less equally.

And it also implies that it’s easy to mistake the Merc from a Willi on a phone 😇
