PsychoAsteroid 0 Posted May 4, 2015 First of all so far this game is sensational, and I am a very dedicated RBR player. The graphics are awesome, the sounds and for the most part the driving experience aswell. I do however find that some work needs to be done on the RWD cars, they are extremely unpredictable, they can go from understeer to oversteer in the blink of an eye. Trying to slide the car around a hair pin on throttle seems almost impossible at times, I should in essence be able to "steer" a rwd car with the gas pedal, but that's not the case. I know it has been also said a lot on the forums but the force feed back needs some work, it feels very dead for steering inputs. I'm not to sure if its just me but the handbrake also seems very difficult to use, it should be especially easy to rotate the rear of a WRC car using it but it isn't. Being able to use the clutch would also be a very good feature aswell, would be nice to be able to kick the clutch in the older cars when the revs drop down to far. This game is definitely on the right track, it has loads of potential.Just my 2 cents for now. bogani 765 Posted May 4, 2015 I really love that there are real junctions and junction markers in this game. Well done.Entering the junction at 3 minutes in the video is tricky as it is downhill. I love it  https://youtu.be/GUuk_34TZiUä
Neogeta 0 Posted May 4, 2015 I would really like for there to be an option to adjust the helmet cam view to your own preference. I personally find the LH drive vehicles head cam needs moving slightly to the right and RH driver slightly to the left. Obviously this is personal preference but I can't imagine I'm the only person who would like this.

789ifyz 0 Posted May 5, 2015 If codies are keeping damage lenient for the more 'casual' and the newer gamers, how about a leveled damage system to keep them in the game whilst also appealing to the more hardcore rally fans.Something like an off-low-medium-high, where low is the current damage level and high is full brutal, unforgiving damage model. wezel1977 0 Posted May 5, 2015 latest update i want to use my keyboard not stupidly scroll around with my x360 controler in game....edit found it with pferences you can change settings back with keyboard and drive with controler.About the game itself, maybe make some differences in damage like realistic, custom and easy.I just drove with the escort cosworth full speed against a tree and only had a smashed window and some bumps on the bumper and hood of the car.with such a frontal impact it should be game over.... nokazutakicimo 0 Posted May 5, 2015 Can we have stage length displayed in the stage info screen? It would be nice to have stage statistics available upon completing a stage: max/avg speed, air time/length, etc.
Bluestig 77 Posted May 5, 2015 Damage is certainly a downgrade from previous games. Lesser parts fall off and in general it is way too lenient.
Arnerdo 0 Posted May 5, 2015 monkiemurdie said: I see track IR (TrackIR) working in cockpit or bonnet (error) Dashboard view (no ingame support) but with the racing wheel it locks out my keyboard, I can't even Alt-Tab, so I had to configure the centre button (trackIR) on button 7 of the wheel.andbody got any tips on wheel settings for FFB on T300RS either via thrustmaster or ingame config menus. I received the wheel and track IR today in prep. for pcars, No I ain't kidding. So I am looking for tips.system specs below.I need more game time but for those with track ir this works already. Last time I played a rally game was colin mcrae on ps one, I never played ps3 xbox 360 codemaster rally games.this game reminds a lot of the original colin mcrae games. Sorry about your investment in TrackIR. It does whats advertised on supported games, but with racing it doesn't work "psychologically". I have TrackIR and stopped using it after a week (for racing games), and i have thought a lot about why. I'll explain: Whenever you turn your head and change the cameraview on screen (as advertised), you also change the direction you are looking; head turns right; eyeballs turn left, so you are still able to see the screen. Now maybe depending on how much you have driven cars before in your life, your brain missinterpret what is happening and you will automatically (subconsciously) apply a corrective steering input to keep your car on the road. BUT in this case you will actually drive your car OFF the road instead, as the perceived need for correction, or the direction your car is heading, is wrong. This applies to whatever situation your car is in, but its most obvious and stupid looking when driving on a straight road. What is messing this up is the need to turn the eyeballs. Your brain knows that you are turning your eyes, and moves all references and understanding of where the road is going by the same angle relative to the direction you are driving. Its a wierd sensation where its a little difficult to point a finger at what is making you suddenly drive so imprecise, missing apex after apex, or even drive off the road at strange places. If you keep your head perfectly still you wont notice, but that will negate the need for trackIR, and give you neck issues. By the way i posted a longer thread on the subject on TrackIR's forums many years ago and it got deleted...Of course the problem is gone as soon as you hook up a monitor on your head so its follows our head movement and you dont have to turn your eyes :) Very much looking forward to oculus rift! Ledanek 0 Posted May 5, 2015 allow us to place replays somewhere else on our PC I was mega-ton fuming last night when I fiddled with FRAPS audio recording. I had ....had....the best rally times early this morning, same track except morning overcast...I was breaking early at turns vs power sliding (looks good but its a surface trap for 4-6 secs of tire spinning)....blowing at higher speeds with reckless abandonment....make a spectacular jump:but, the audio was lost!!!! SkiddyMcCrash 311 Posted May 5, 2015 I was asking because I find fraps to be a pain in the arse, record file, convert file, shrink file into something uploadable within this century. Have you not tried Raptr? It's like Nvidias Shadowplay, which sits in the background and will record everything in game http://raptr.com/amd?_noscript=
KulibobCZ 0 Posted May 5, 2015 I agree with the option of tyres, headlights, louder and more active crowd. And of corse stages :D

ValhallasChosen 0 Posted May 5, 2015 So far I am loving this game, there are only a couple of things I can think of to improve the game. Please add the stage length in kilometers/miles to the pre-race information screen where the terrain percentages are displayed - 3.5 miles 85% light gravel 15% medium gravel I have not seen an option to have community ghosts turned on, this is always a nice feature when trying to beat times to see where you are losing or gaining time. So far Wales is the worst location in my opinion. I look forward to events in Greece and Monte Carlo but when I see that its Wales (for potentially 8 races in a row) it makes me want to stop playing. The uneven terrain is a head ache, and the over all visual quality is not in line with the other two locations. Its drab, flat and boring. It looks like it was an after thought. I am excited for the addition of Hillclimb events but I was curious if there were any plans to add CrossOver courses to Dirt Rally. These events were some of my favorite from previous games, though much less simulation oriented.
LVoodoo 0 Posted May 5, 2015 My wish list:-The camera inside view, shakes more to match the driving wheel wheel feedback of the ground. Like in GTR2. I have never drove in a rally car so maybe i am off on this. -In the same view, I feel that it s more forgiven when the car is about to grind the side obstacle. The hoop would flip out or hide your view when you have a frontal hit.-Of course some mud on the windshield and you can use to wiper to remove some of it.-Using a VR mode with your cell phone could be sick (or get sick) as well ;)UI/UX wise, I find that s there s no way to cancel 100% the tournament. Have to go back a forward a lot.Anything else, it s an amazing game so far :D

AdamRoss 0 Posted May 5, 2015 Just picked this up today. Managed to get it running on High settings and 1080p/60 on my Alienware Alpha , so it actually looks quite stunning really (especially for an Early Access game). I've never been a massive fan of racing games, with the exceptions being the Burnout games and the original Colin McRae rally games. I've never really been into many motorsports, i've always found F1 kind of boring for example. Rally, however, i've always been fascinated by. In my opinion, its by far the most interesting (and fascinating) motorsport. This translated into a love of the Colin McRae rally games which were absolutely superb fun. So, onto Dirt Rally. Amazing. I've only put a few hours in but its already got its hooks into me : it's almost the Dark Souls of racing games. You need to put time and effort into understanding how the cars handle, how the tracks affect the cars and basically you need to learn how to rally properly. This is a proper rally simulation, but because rally is a fast, crazy motorsport you have to drive in an "arcadey" way to stand any chance of success. Codies really have achieved a wonderful balance with this game. Massively impressed, easily worth the £25 and looking forward to seeing it expand, improve and grow over the coming months. Well Done Codemasters.......well done.
