homerlvsbeer 0 Posted May 9, 2015 on a serious note codemasters. you already made a fun exciting racing game that with a wheel is the best feeling of any racing game even upto today, and yes am saying its got better force feedback than project cars. do you know which game it is. i wonder cause you nailed this game and seem to be moving in another direction now that just is not as good. CODEMASTER staff who are making this game dirt rally, and are looking for useful information from gamers to make dirt 4. ok. go get a decent wheel. set yourself up and get comfy. go now go get one. Now when you have a wheel and you have pc ready for that killer information to help you create the next amazing racing game, ok here it is. click spoiler. below. PLAY DIRT 2. feel that force feed back, get into it for a while. and remember how great it feels. how much fun did you have with the wheel setup.. tons i know, awesome. now go make dirt 4. and introduce some kick arse force feedback, like you did in dirt 2. you can also make dirt rally feel like that. its not all about a game looking great, it also has to feel great. otherwise your going to fail on that killer dirt game you want to make. pls make the game we want. not half the game we want. dirt rally is nice. but the force feedback is not. not right now. Sweden, Germany, Finland and Mexico perhaps. Theres a lot of good stages in those countries!Last thing so far is cars. I would like to see Audi s1( I know there is a quattro but still ), Lancia 037, Opel manta 400,Toyota corolla wrc, escort mk2 with left steering, maybe some modern wrc cars (polo/i20 exc.), Toyota celica gt four, r-cars (r2, r3, r5...) and few 2000's wrc cars (Ford focus wrc, Skoda octavia wrc, Subaru impreza wrc, Mitsubishi lancer evo wrc) IkI know that the list is long and everything on that list is not possible to be implumented into game but I hope that I see atleast some of them, specially the Console version! I sincerly hope there will be never a console version, since the rise of the consoles (2005) alot of good games went downhill like dirt almost everything became arcade even rainbowsix cod etc etc and dirt!!.leave the Gymkhana and Ken block stuff for the consoles, and keep the realism for the pc gamers.I'm glad codemasters gave us this for such a good price.:)

Also some rally america cars like from Subaru Rally Team USA. Thank you! I have been using every avenue possible to get 1 RA event done. I am hereing from real drivers they think OTR or STPR would be great to see. As long as it's not Sn*wDrift I'll be happy, I just don't like snow, but that's just me.Also like you said, the 2012 and 2015 Vermont Sportscar prepped STIs would be great to run there. 1fastben 0 Posted May 9, 2015 I love this game! Thank you for listening to the community and building the best rally game since the first DiRT! A few things I've noticed while playing: On the Welsh stage Pant Mawr Reverse, the second Right 4 on the stage (Right 4 continues over crest) seems like it should have a 'Caution, bad camber' on it, as the road mounds and if the line isn't prefect, you'll fly right off into the vegetation. In the Replay, I'd like to see a rear-wheel camera option. Seeing the lockup then gravel machinegun of acceleration from RWD's is quite a lovely thing. The Replay music is kinda...odd. Not that this matters much, but the spectators and volunteers could use more detail when the car is at rest or going slow past them. Future additions I'd like to see:Rally Cars:1970 Datsun 240Z1970 Opel KadettSaab 961983 Chevette 1983 Toyota Celica 1983Audi Quattro A21973 Ford Escort Mk1N12 Subaru with a Ken Block livery. I have to counter all the haters, I like Ken, and I'd like to see a livery of his in the game. And hey, it's middle earth.Kenya, for the looonnnnngggg stages.Australia, because of it's ball-bearing gravel and the Mineshaft stage (even though that's not a WRC stage)Canada, Targa Newfoundland; sure, it's not a WRC rally, but this is one hell of an endurance tarmac eventFrance, Spain (such as in DiRT 1), or Germany, because the game could use a little more tarmac.USA Lake Superior Pro Rally with all types of weather possibilities, because that happens there. Okay, I've had my say. :) Keep up the fantastic work!
Nightswipe 12 Posted May 9, 2015 First off, i'm so happy you're bringing back a pure rallygame!I have played through all of your rallyfocused games (CMR 1-5, DiRT 1-3)However DiRT 1-3 left me wanting more as it was more of a mixed bag of everything instead of one true focus. As for Dirt Rally, the game feels good, looks good, really happy about nighttime driving. And the wet cars look really nice. The locations are good but maybe as of yet a bit bland? Especially Greece. Sometimes it feels you've just put down a road, then cut off by trees with no vistas whatsoever. And are there really that many pinetrees in Greece? I haven't been on all islands or explored the main continent fully but I have never witnessed that many pinetrees :)My biggest gripe with the game so far however(I know i'm not alone in this). The stages themselves. When you say 12 tracks, people expect 12 tracks. Not 2 tracks and the following 10 be reverse tracks, and bits of the longer tracks turn into a shorter one. What makes it worse is that many of the tracks that go on the same area have different names. This was the case for the tracks in the DiRT games as well, which I personally dislike. You had 1 track that started at A, ended at D. Then you made another track that went on the same course from C to B and slapped on a different name. Then had another B to A and C to D. And then reversing them.Make unique stages! Reverse stages are ok, but not cut outs of the longer tracks.I am wishing that this game will be either like CMR 2 or 5. Those games had lots of locations and every stage was different(at least cmr 2 had, not 100% sure about 5)I will keep playing the game, and I hope there will be many more locations to come and more different unique tracks for each country. It will make the game feel more complete instead of copypaste. Really looking forward to australia!I noticed a car wishlist, I really hope VW polo makes it into the game, but better then that, VW Scirocco 08I don't think it has been made into a rallycar, just a racingcar, but man would it be sweet to have in the game(as I have one myself). And a classic I saw no wishes for, Ford Puma from CMR2! Leathersoup 0 Posted May 10, 2015 I'm not sure where to put my Oculus Rift feedback. I've done quite a few runs with the game using the Oculus and have come to the conclusion that the physics are going out the window when using the Oculus. I don't know if the physics are based off of frame rate or not but rendering double seems to be messing the game up. It's almost impossible to keep the car running in a straight line, the back end is always fishtailing for no reason. I've run the same courses with and without the Oculus. When not using the Oculus the car is very planted especially the FWD cars. When I throw on the Oculus all of a sudden the back end of the Fulvia (FWD) is all over the place. It's as though I were driving a RWD car on ice (but with more forward momentum).
xGabe62x 5 Posted May 10, 2015 FWD cars way too twitchy on loose surfaces. Handbrake barely works with FWD, wheras in reality it should spin the car quite easily. These cars are ruining the games for me. Just loaded up dirt 3, and even with my 15 pc reduction in grip mod, the fwd cars are awesome.
VTZ 0 Posted May 10, 2015 The game is great, have nice physics, best locations, good cars BUT we don't have POLISH language :( . This is not a big problem for you. Many DiRT have polish language (dirt 1, 2 and more Colin McRae Rally).I see bugs. When I click ENTER, when the game loading location game are crashed :(. Opponents are fast on OPEN! We need an easier level.WHEN THE POLISH LANGUAGE WILL BE IN GAME, MANY PEOPLE WILL BUY THIS GAME! Hear us. Thanks ;) (sorry my english is bad  )
wezel1977 0 Posted May 10, 2015 I Just hope Codemasters keeps adding more realistic rally stages i love the English stages in the UK what a blast with the escort cosworth!!!a real weather mod would also be nice like i allready said. And as other people suggested more tarmac stages and more country's wich i'm sure you (codemasters) will add later on, i'm so thankfull we finaly get a realistic rally game after all those years of consolish kids stuff.thx Codies !! :)
Nightswipe 12 Posted May 10, 2015 In the menu, put out info on how long the stage is so we don't have to guess which one we choose. If I want to race on the longer tracks I shouldn't have to guess which one is long and then end up on short ones. Also, I tried driving in monte carlo - night - wet. Problem is, the track never felt wet.

Fasttuning 0 Posted May 10, 2015 GUYS great work. But do not relax, you need to made it stronger and stronger, better end better to give us chanse to compete Rally Cross all over the world and give your company a good promotion as a best rally sim constructors. BUT you still need to continue working hard! Please some issues i find:1. FORCE FEEDBACK is still must be more and more crutically corrected for better feeling the car. Feeling the car in first 12 30 degrees is not feeling good, like in real life - more feedback in this area and also all over degrees rotation it need more rebuild for maximum real experience!2. Please add clutch to secuental mode. We have clutch in secuental cars in real life, so do it in the sim. I believe you do it, you must made this sim the best ever!!!Forgot to write. Please also made normal cokpit, and normal cocpit view with wheel off . The cocpit is so strange :s 3.4.5.6.7.8..... WORK HARD guys, Good luck ;)
IliaChe 0 Posted May 11, 2015 Codies, please add support for MOMO Logitech wheel! Now it's very uncomfortable, only few degrees and car become very unstable!

That's called realism ;) Meh, I've been in a real rally car and it isnt even close. Might be my computer sound then. I hear him fine. In a real rally car your intercom allows you to hear him and you can turn that mic up or down as you like. If the intercom wasn't working you'd definately have a hard time hearing your codriver through your helmet over the engine, transmission whine and stones rattling the underneeth of the car on gravel, he'd really have to shout... but hey this is just a game. If it was a proper, true sim, we;d have a seperate audio line out for the codriver that we could listen to through our headphones while blasted by the other ingame sounds from speakers, :D

If you ask me that's as close as real you can get unless you want to laser scan mud.
JohnSpooner 0 Posted May 12, 2015 I think the Stages are good a little short but a challenge more so with the current state of the game.As for real work current WRC is all about repeating stages & running reverse stages .That is one of my pet hates with the current WRC format.Classical Rally lets say from the start of the WRC 1979 that was the first full Championship year. Those Rallys back then & through the next decades or so ran on longers stages , Repest stages were rare due to most Rally following Loop path that cover large parts of the countrys they took part in.Also None of the luxury of fixed servicing & fixed start & end location for the whole rally .Ho yes driveing all night .So WRC maybe be the fastest cars ever they may make for good TV , & to make Money from the fans on the now paided for fixed stage'sBut where is the challenge today Rallying is marketed like F1 with mud the driving is more like sprint racing and every Body is safe in bed by 9 pm.So getting back on about lack of stages for sure I want to seem more both longer and short & based on classic events like Safari rally or the classic San Remo Rallys & Corsia.Ist going to be a lot of work for the devlopers & I am sure a lot of DLC in one form or another.
