Audi Sport Quattro feels too weak and understeery, which makes this car unbalanced, I suggest changing it to more powerful Quattro S1 to make it more competitive comparing to Peugeot 205 and Lancia Delta S4. Also you need to match sound with revs, cuz now they don't actually match, for example on 6,5k rpm you hear the sound like it's rotating on almost 9k rpm. It should be much lower.
Guys pls read and learn more about the real cars before giving critics..the Sport quattro was well known for its understeering behaviour ! walter röhrl said the car is nearly "unturnable" on its initial event in tour de corse 1984....

so, the car in this respect  is well simulated by codies !

Walter Rohrl also said he seem to think slower than the car sometimes. And you don't feel Audi like that in DiRT. I'm OK with the understeer, I just say that it is neither powerful nor good handling comparing to other Group B cars, which doesn't seem right to me. It is just non competitive and imbalanced. The way is to leave it being understeery but to make it more powerful.

Hello all,
I think it is essential to have a rearview mirror to view dashboards especially for the rallycross
-not enough of his subwoofer for 5.1 surround.
thank you for the work. :)

Something that would be great for people like me who want to analyse every detail of their race. An in-depth race statistics available from the race results screen. This could include things like your top speed from that race, max Gs, favourite gear, distance driven, number of collisions... perhaps even the number of clean corners if that were possible. Plus as many other interesting stats as possible in order to add another level of interest and another way to compare performances.

Another thing that would be absolutely brilliant - a time trial type race mode in the custom race menu. This would give players a way to jump right into the action without the championships and rival racers. Of course, this is not exactly to the true spirit of rally but it would allow for a list of lifetime best laps on RallyCross tracks and best times on rally and hill climb stages when completed in this mode. Perhaps this could be added to an online leaderboard of fastest times for all the available tracks with options to view the times for today, this week and all time. Being able to compare your own times with the rest of the world and friends would hugely improve aspects of the game for players like me.

I hope this gets given the time to be taken into consideration, thanks so much for all the improvements that have been made as a result of community suggestions so far!

Hello Codemasters,
you are doing a great job with this game, please don't stop fixing things...

Today something strange happened to me a second time. Since the FFB update everything is OK, but sometimes the wheel settings act up.
Example (I usuallly enter the game every day for the daily event):
1. One time the game completely forgot my wheel settings (buttons) and I had to asign them over again,

2. Today the wheel rotation was completely off in the daily event, after trying the weekly event it was the same problem.
Let me explain, I never change my setting in-game or logitech profiler, because they work:
- Today was the Daily Event with Ford Escort RS which has 720 degrees, but my wheel locked to 90 degrees 1:10 ratio by itself. I went to controls and recalibrated the wheel, but the 90 lock remained. Ok, I barely finished the event driving the Lancia like a F1 car.
- To make sure it's not just a Daily event Bug I entered the Weekly event with the BMW M3 which should have 720 degrees. The problem was the same... The wheel locked to 90 degrees again and not to 720.

My wheel is the Logitech DFGT, Win10 (all updates, latest drivers, etc.). The wheel has 900 degrees and should normally adjust itself to 1:1 ratio of the cars rotation. 90% of the time it works, but I think sometimes the controls setup just goes crazy and I don't like that when it happens durring an event.

PS:
After the Daily event I restarted the game, went to a custom event with the Ford Escor RS and now it was normal again.
I don't know why it happens, but it happens sometimes.

PS2:
Using Nvidia DSR with 2610p, the wheel acts up for me every time... But that a different story, I play without DSR on 1080p.

SPEED INDICATOR: This is quite annoying and weird stuff, but the problem is clear: speed is measured through the wheel spin and NOT with car movement in itself. Powerful cars spin its wheels on stage start... it may "say" 60 Km/h when you are driving at only 20.

Think about that for a second, what you are asking for is for the wheel spin to NOT be tied to the car speeds reading. I don't know of any real world car that measures speed except through the wheel travel/spin. So I think it's behaving as it SHOULD. If you know of a car that actually uses a laser or GPS to track it's speed I'd be amazed because it would be very inaccurate compared to a wheel spin. http://www.explainthatstuff.com/how-speedometer-works.html

have a look here:

and.. start the game using "x" button of the wheel (not keyboard keys). Hope it solves.

oh, and close the game properly, ot alt+f4... just in case.

please add:
Interface and navigating :
-Mouse support:navigate the game using mouse
-better interface for setup,
instead of the game telling to press  key 1 2 or 3 or 4 and so on we should be able to see the assigned key.
car set ups:
-remove the silly slot system,we should be able to save as many setups as we want.
-add a new  full screen set up system where you see every thing instead on menus insdie menus inside menus,
this in enoying, and takes unnessesary time, i don't want a pc game to be as it was made for console only.i like how isi have done it with rfactor 2.
-Setup sharing

in car camera pov: currently there is a modder making good fov mod. it actually makes the game  playable on my 1080p monitor
please add position adjsutment like asetto corsa has, asetto corsa currently have hte best solution, so you can adjust it seperatly for every car, not just fov but up down.

the wheel animation needs to be how the car is set up to, not only 180 degrees, thats just silly, and we should have a option to remove the steerign wheel.
Skins:
i am sure every one would love to have psd tempaltes to add skins to the game and be able to use them in multiplayer, and so peopel can see them, this woudl be nice so if you are in a team you can have your team livery, nice when driving in legues.

Dear Codies,
once again, thank you so much for your great work, really enjoying to drive in this Sim. Love it

After 16 hours of gameplay some more feedback to make it even better in m ypoint of view:

Gravel physics:
(I know there are already similar requests)
I find accelerating on gravel quite good - maybe the wheel spin could be even more when on full throttle -  , but the breaking behaviour is a bit strange.... the cars in general break "too well" and the car is too less sliding on gravel when hard breaking.

more realisitc Damage model:
has been raised so often , nothing more to add in this respect , just my +1 for this issue

Increase gear change times on Grp A cars:
tested a bit with different gearbox pre settings, but even on short gear transmission, there is this annoying "lag" when shifting up the gears...  when watching IRL videos , the up shifting sequences are a bit quicker than in DR.

Increase engine torque on Grp A cars:
(maybe this also applies to other classes , but so far I ve driven mostly with Delta / 555 impreza and Escort..)
the torque should be higher... its hard to force a donut , even on wet conditions...  the power development when accelerating out of tight corners, hairpins seems to weak

Stage variation / more countries:
also a vastly raised topic, but I can only endlessly repeat: FOCUS ON DEVELOPING MORE COUNTRIES and STAGES and avoid cutting one and the same long track into various smaller ones, but in the end being the same stages. Of course its fully clear that creating  NEW and LONG stages takes alot more time then simply cutting or reversing them, but thats exactly the point where the Modding Community should get acess to participate !  Codies still keeps the hands on to decide which stage  is realistic enough to officially make it into Dirt rally, but the Fan base should be involved here !  maybe rewarding the talented guys out there with something would be additionally motiviating...but there are many many talented guys out there , who could make this SIM even more outstanding.

*** Stage / country variation is in my oppinion one of the biggest points to keeping the SIM alive for a long time and gathering more and more players... ***

of course Im very much excited about the upcoming Finland and Winter updates, but on the long run, the community should get the hands on this issue...

Imagine in the future we have Dirt daily stages online challenges like "tyremac special - 3 MANX Rally stages by the Irish fan crowd....next week there are some french or german guys who are delievering a Germany Moselland stages update or Alsace country add on....  that would  be awesome...

More Cars / conquering licensing issues:
why is licensing giving awesome sims like DR and others such a hard time nowadays?
PORSCHE is a must have also for a Rally SIM !  Correct me I f Im wrong but "Project Cars  solves this licensing problem by running  "RUF" cars into their SIM.  why not asking RUF to get the license for Dirt Rally and then introducing a RUF - R-GT car into the Sim ?
the Fan Crowd would be overwhelmed by such developments !!

Toyota not being part of DR: this is so sad. why licensing troubles here ? the good old CMR rally series had Corolla + Celica and up to Dirt 3, we had Celica GT4 in the game. why is the Toyota licensing no more  available for DR ?

thats my feedback and thoughts on the SIM for now, keep up the awesome work guys,

cheers,
a big FAN

Yes, i like how looks now DiRT. But if its possible, u can increase fillings of reality.
1) First - Snow. Snow is VERY hard, very solid. Can u do something, if i rid on bordure of snow,
tires should fall through. Snow should be loose.
2) DIRT. First word of this game, but dirt u reallise very weakly. If my car it puts to hell at the slightest traction supply, i have see, that is by dirt under my tires. But i dont see it. Do something with that, after my car has to leave the trench of slush.
3) Smoke. I saw rally in Greece. After the car was very hard dust. And this dust was REALLY hard. Because of him people ran to the sides. And i remember shadows of this dust...
4) I think u know, that your textures is very big, i think u know, that modeles and shaders on very low quality. I think you know, that models of cars are not finished. I think u know, that this is only beginning. But you are nice. Please follow your conscience.
5) Nature. Did u see how looks the nature of Witcher 3? All the world is move. Every tree, every bird. Please be inspired by this.
6) I remember Collin McRae Rally - Dirt 2. And there in the cab of car was little toys like air freshener, that was NICE!!! :)))
7) More effects of weather. If u can do it, i will kiss u all. Every map can be look in the Winter Mode, in The Summer Mode and rest. Imagine The Powys race in the Winter season ! WOW WOW WOW!! Do IT PLEASE!
8) More tips of machine settings! How it will be on iсe, how will be on sand...
9) PLEASE READ IT AND DO CODEMASTERS!!! Im really hope on you. Dont cut! Be brave! This is only begin!
10) I hope im not writing this in vain.*
11) And forgot! RUSSIAN LOCATIONS OF RALLY! :))) Thank u all.

1. Today my KitKar got stuck on a little gras leave on the bank in an open right corner
2. In greece with the bmw in the last weekly i got stuck in a small bush 3 times

3. I noticed that the shadows look weird since the last update, a lot of times they flicker in the trees... Very distracting.

Is wet gravel behacing the same as wet asphalt? I don't think so. When i drive my real car, there is little difference on dry or wet gravel. I think that ingame its overreacted, but it just might be a different type of gravel. I give you that.

@MatthewGrouss
I totally agree with you, the amount of detail could be a lot better for a 2015/2016 game

I think that all the funds had gone to F1 had to invest just in Dirt Rally. Because it would have made it a true masterpiece. In vain, Codemasters .... I hope you find somewhere the same budget and do our favorite rally even more beautiful and original. I HOPE YOU Codemasters !!!!

Hello again,
today it happened to me again 2x times, the wheel decidec after some time to pull totally to the left and stay there...
I did reset the wheel and the gam ofc, but after entering the RX career, after 2 laps again.
I reset everything one more time and after that it was ok, also yesterday it was all ok.
This happens just sometimes and only in dirt rally.
Very weird.

Hi! Big fan here, thanks for the great early access!

But, in Rallycross tracks you can cut corners couple of times before it leads to disqualification. For example in Höljes you can do 35sec lap time (normally around 37sec) if you cut hardly the first left corner, before the joker entry. The time penalty comes to the total race time, but the cheated lap time is shown in fastest lap times, which makes the comparison between people slightly unfair.

Adding a training stage like the track from DirtFish Rally in Washington would be nice. Or just a basic circuit with varying turns and hairpins where I can practice handbrake turns and Scandinavian flicks.

Adding 4 times the  amount of stages overall is needed for a serious rally game.

Making some stages 3 to 4 times longer with much longer straights/ very long high sweepers would be good, still wouldn't be as many as needed or long enough... but at least it would be a start.

I'd say DR already is a very serious rally (game)/Sim, if not the best of all times - but keep in mind it's still in early access...

yep, but lets put our feet on the ground. Stages to add are clearly planned over the timeline (just 2 remaining), and despite its on EA the game we will get finally will be 95% equal to what we´re playing today. Maybe I´m wrong (hope so...)
no?

there are only two stages planned (Amendment) just before the end of this year! at the expense of 2016 nobody said anything.

exactly. They said towards the start of EAx that they'd decide towards the end of the year whether to release the game or to continue EAx and add more content and features. Hopefully they decide to go for the latter. Hopefully they add Safari Rally. Hopefully they add some more stages to the other countries already present. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
