No AI damage and unannounced pit change plan????

Recommended Posts

Just upped the difficulty to 90% and did a race. Perez was all over the rear of my car, smashing into it and bumping into the side of me all the time. No penalty and zero damage or change of pace to his car. He eventually got by me and I was doing my best to keep a clean race by using replays etc but he was driving as if in a bumper car. Ridiculous. Then at the pit I was supposed to do a 1 stop onto medium tires. They changed to a 2 stop race and put me on the soft tire without telling me. It cost me the race and I barely salvaged 4th place. What the hell.

Whatever tyre compound is selected In your mfd will be the tyre you get. Are you sure you never got a message off Jeff askin if you wanted to change the strategy option to a 2 stop ??

I reviewed the pit plan and it was set to a 1 stop, soft to medium plan by default. No message from the pit crew suggesting a change. I wasnt paying attention in the pits or I'd have caught it. Couldve been a bug.

You can change your tyre selection in the mfd before u go in the pit's whichever one was showing (s) (m) (h) would of been the one you got even if Jeff suggests new strategy and you select he's strategy you can still change it by selecting a different compound in the mfd area if you know what I mean ??

The damage you get depends on the damage model you select at the beginning of the season. @gtfclad82is correct on the tires. And Jeff will inform you of a change through audio or the MFD pop-up strategy menu.

Which you can choose during any time between sessions, like other settings (AI difficulty, assists, etc.).

The only settings you can't change at any time between sessions during career(not even before the start), is weather and time of day.

Tyre compounds can only be changed before the start of any race weekend.

I think he's referring to the AI damage that was hitting him. In fact, AI damage is much less than ours, even when simulated. This is a problem that has occurred since 2015, which was the first one I played. By the way, something bizarre happened to me yesterday. The AI hit the left side of my car and broke the right end of my front wing. The damage system of the game is poor.

Yeah I know tire selection can be changed on the fly etc and none of it was touched. I was burning up my tires fast defending from Perez and it's like they automatically switched the pit plan with zero input from me. AI damage is like they are driving tanks. It's set to whatever the default is. I never touched it.

I ran over a curb wrong and broke my front wing @caiocrq. If the AI hit you hard enough to have the front of the car dig into something it may break.

I want to react at this part because i want to give you some back on this one. I recently had a similar situation at Hungary. 1 stop race, as every race in 25%... (also in my strategy) i suddenly hear that i can come in for a 2nd time. I ignored it because i would drop very last with a huge gap. So it came out of nowhere that call from the team what i didn't understand.
