In case anybody wants to test the tweaks made to dirt build up and the color palette on German rally stages, I've uploaded the first versions and linked them below.

Feel free to edit and tweak the files according to your liking, they are only meant to present a starting point.

DiRTier Mod - cars get dirtier more quickly

Color Palette Mod for German Rally - largely removes the yellow tint from the German rally stages during sunny/midday conditions

Screens and installation notes as well as backups are included.

YES! Great news. Really looking forward to see a real muddy car after one stage in Wales and a real dusty car in Greece! Have you modded this even in Finland stages?

Will this mode also effect RX cars because they are waaaay to clean after a race if I compare to the real world.

Yes, this mod also includes Finland and yes, as the modified dirt build up is location-based, it affects all cars equally ;)

and I got the effect I wanted !! gethema thanks
I would put a picture so you could see the result but not as a photo is uploaded to this site
Glad you got it sorted!

This forum seems to be a bit special with regard to posting pics, I've uploaded mine to an external pic-uploading site (e.g. abload.de, picload.org etc) and copied the image URL into the box that opens when you click 'attach image/file'  (the letter icon, fifth from the right).

Looking forward to your pics!

I'd say half would be a nice round number. :)
Hmmm... looks a lot better but probably just a slightly, like very very very very barely, too much red. There's a slight pinkish feel to the picture.
I'll see what I can do ;)

Edit:

Now also with 'less dirt' option: DiRTier Mod
Hey! I have now tried it, and just tested all "versions" in Wales. Im going to test other events later on. Here is some feedback/Improvements if you will,

Wales: I would say that the "extreme" version fits me best here, it looks like the most realistic version if I compare to the real cars in that event.
But I would love some improvements if thats possible.
1. The windscreen gets all dark (cant see co-driver/driver) after a while. Is that because all the dirt? If so, reduce the dirt on the windscreen/front of the car so the co-driver/driver always is shown.
2.As said before, if its possible, reduce the dirt on the front of the car.
3. Is it possible to make the transition from a clean car to a all dirty/muddy car takes a little bit longer in  the "extreme" version. I mean that it looks very realistic in the beginning (a cuple of turns in to the stage) but then it goes completely dirty as it should be in some Km in to the stage?

Iv driven sprint and long stages in Wales in good weather and rain. If these improvements would be possible to create/update with, then I would have the perfect and most realistic dirt mod for Wales as it should have been from the beginning!

I hope you understand what a great mod you have created and I think this is so awesome!! Thanks again and I hope you will update and make this mod even better!! :)

Please consider this feedback! :)

And last, great that you have done this mod for every country/event so we can choose exactly the version that fit us personally and makes every event look 100% realistic!!

Keep it up!!

Has someone encountered this problem before, and know if it's possible / how to fix it?
I'm getting a line on my Subaru R4 is rendering with a "lightening" glitch just above the doorhandle, and it's very annoying:
PSD File:
Result: (ignore the 4)

Kind of just looks like a weird mapping glitch, in which case, there isn't a fix.

Here you go, 3.5x more dirt

Simply copy it into all locations' stages and replace the existing ones.

As for car dirt build up threshold, I haven't found anything related to that yet.

Looking good. It's all of course always a matter of taste, but with a [MUD] mudrate of 0.004400 your car will be muddy in no time, especially in Wales. The [GRAVEL] mudrate and dirtrate also guarantee that you won't be ending any Finnish stages without a completely messed up car, eventually thus reduce the mudrate a bit.

Finetune those settings a bit more and you got yourself a fine little dirt tweak ;)

I wonder if a mod could be done like this for the partical system.  Mostly for the Dirt/gravel that is kicked up on corners.

I've been out of town for the week and haven't been able to work on it.  I may release it in small bits, as the number of cars grows it may end up as a generic post for what you you need to edit.  Not saying I'm abandoning it, just need to get a little bit of RL out of the way and then I'll start it up again soon.
