Does anyone know where the rivets for the fenders on the mk2 are located? Comparing the default black and white skins, I can't see where the differences are. Thanks for any help.

Aren't they located slightly above the Ford logo, a bit to the right?

chuly82: calm down. I almost get the feeling that you are spamming in a way. Your name shows up everywhere, posting multiple messages in a row and stuff like that. It's getting annoying you know. It's not a personal attack, but perhaps I'm the only one willing to tell you. Try to keep things cool and easy is all I'm saying. And the minority of us doesn't speak Spanish, so therefore you should try to post in English, which is good enough by the way.

My fuse was about to run up, so you were first :p But yeah, basically post in English and make it more quality than quantity. No one has anything against you, at least as far as I know. Just keep in mind there are other things on the forum.

PS. If someone says "Sorry for my English" while they aren't improving it... that means they're not really sorry for it. Just saying.

Getting slicker with the process. This only took about 15 minutes to convert, modify the livery to work better with DiRT Rally's lighting and have the folders arranged to just swap in and out at a moments notice.
Replaced the Fiesta since it's probably the closest match for S2000 performance.

Same story really. Backup the car you want to replace, and copy over a few key files, renaming them so DiRT Rally thinks they are a different car.
Key files for the exterior are "(carname)_highLOD.pssg", "(carname).nd2", and a texture folder. Don't touch the car physics files (*.ctf), you'll probably end up in an infinite loading loop.
For the interior, only file you want to replace is "int_(carname).pssg". Others will probably cause a CTD when the stage is loading.
Can do things like audio at your own discretion. Those are located in very different places between DiRT 3 and DiRT Rally.

Usual list of limitations and compromises.
Drivers may not be seated correctly, unlit lights may appear extra dark in daytime conditions with no precipitation (no idea why they look perfect in the rain).
Car behaves exactly like the one it's replaced, these are pretty much cosmetic mods only.
Like skins but with loads more problems!
Times will not be posted to the leaderboards and if you drive a replaced car, you won't be able to get into online events without rebooting the game.
If you replace the interior, it will load fine provided a non-DR car is loaded first, but subsequently DR native car interiors will be badly corrupted and you'll have to restart the game.
Likewise, load a DR native car first and imported car interiors will be completely screwed up.

Absolutely not supported, do completely at your own risk and I will not, under any circumstances, upload any files, etc.
Just gonna have to figure it out from those rough instructions. ;)

That was my first guess, but I tried coloring them neon green just to see and I don't know what those are, cause I saw no green on the car. Like the default black skin has red rivets and the default white skin has black ones, but for the life of me, I can see a difference anywhere in the file. I assume it would be in the main texture.

Just hit refresh. Working fine here. Sometimes have to refresh a dropbox link one or two times.

Honestly, I think it's more a problem on your side since I post many pics that many people can, in fact, see. =P
You couldn't see your own pics that you posted the other day either, but I could.
So it's not just about seeing my own pics that are stuck in the browser cache or similar.
Sounds like a problem with a script or ad blocker.

Sometimes Firefox seems to screw up and needs a reboot. Weird. Youtube videos also stop playing.

BrySkye Ive done a tutorial on how to convert cars from other CM games

Personally, I don't recommend copying over that many files.
xml files and especially the ctf ones should be left well alone to prevent problems, especially from DiRT 3 > DiRT Rally.
GRID AS may have a higher degree of compatibility using a version of EGO more closely related to that in DR.
Unless you're already using modded cameras in GRID AS, those were pretty badly messed up when you started the stage.

I just followed what @hoonhead  put in his tutorial and made a video, as for the camera views i dont fully undertstand the files and i dont really want to mess with them.

Ok. I'm apparently imagining things because I could've sworn the rivets on the default white skin were black, but they're red as well.  :o I also found where they're located. In the files cme_lights.tga.dds and cme_lights_dm.tga.dds. Thanks again for helping, appreciate it.

That's not the solution IMHO, translate google or bing cause more problems than solve it.

Audio in DiRT 3 is found in
DiRT 3 Complete Edition\audio\bundles

In DiRT Rally it's in
DiRT Rally\cars\models\(car folder)\bundles

4cyl_tb_ren5_turbo2.bdl is the Renault 5 Turbo.
Not sure which one is the Punto. Most of the audio files are clearly named but some aren't.
