i had made this very early when i bought the game but never got to posting it, i made this so that i could see the icons better from peripheral vision
It'd be cool if you put the numbers on black, or a black border so they stand out in light and dark, just a small suggestion.
i have tried to do this but cant really do it
Didn't you make them though? or did you lose your PSD file? It should be as simple as a black circle or square behind the number, alternatively, I'm pretty sure PS has a way to put borders on text.
Probably more to do with how the game tries (or fails) to display it. If the game sees black as transparent for example.
Looks like stroke has already been applied.
the numbers are on a different file witch are likely in the same place as the menu images for the liveries, cant edit them

The Hyundai i20 WRC driven by Hayden Paddon has the honor to be my first custom skin for DiRT Rally. It doesn't have WRC numberplates or window banners and numbers, but it has them in DiRT Rally style instead. The windshield banner is designed by me. I'm really happy with the result and it will be available to download when the Winter Wonderland is released.

Thanks to @Rallycameraman, @Porkhammer and @RyuMakkuro for their help.

Ahead of the imminent release of 'Winter Wonderland' and the included cars, one is currently missing from the WRC 2015 roster...

With the ability to swap the Rallycross DS3 with the Mini in the 2010s class I was hoping for the correct livery also. I had a go myself but with little luck, is anyone able to do either, (or both!) of these liveries?

How can I swap the Mini for the DS3!?! Would be awesome! ☺

Just replace all of the files in the 'mcr' folder with the 'dsx' ones. To do this all you have to do is rename all of the files so that they say 'mcr' instead. As you can see from the picture they all match up, just a lot of renaming of files. This needs to be done for the 'models' folder, and the 'interiors' folder. The car will drive like it does in rallycross, but I plan to edit the .ctf file once the Polo and Hyundai are released to try and match them up at least. You still have to select the Mini in game, but once it loads it should be the DS3. I'd ideally like to release this as a legitimate mod, but for the meantime I hope this helped!

We know that it is impossible to add modded cars to the game, right ?

So with your method, is it possible to make knew 3D model of a car (for example DS3) but with the name of the mini ?

Right, it would be putting the Rallycross DS3 in place of a 2010 Rally car.
Visual model wouldn't be totally accurate of course, but the RX version of the DS3 is at least closer to the WRC car than, say, the Polo or 208.

As of later versions of DiRT Rally, moving about the handling files is very likely to cause an infinite loading loop.
What I did ages ago, putting the Impreza 555 on Pikes Peak (or rather the pretend Celica). That doesn't work properly anymore, you have to leave the original car handling files.
So I wouldn't really replace the Mini. The Mini is a bit big and heavy and while the car might look different, it'll still handle and perform like the car that is replaced.
The Fiesta or i20 would probably be more appropriate cars to substitute.

Admittedly what would be best would be the Dirt 3 system of adding cars rather than replacing.
Admittedly, it would be best if the car makers wouldn't be such an assholes about the licensing.

Presumably copying physics from, say, the Fiesta to the Mini might still be possible, within the same class?

I'm desperately hoping that the reason for the crashes when trying to swap out hillclimb cars was some incompatibility between the v1.5 and v2.0 physics and it will be rectified with WW, but I guess you've tried that on the WW files with no joy? Real pity if it's no longer possible. I know it's not really the devs jobs to 'fix' something that isn't broken, but it would be interesting to know why.

I noticed that RX cars in single player have a co-driver modelled in (in the 208 shots a couple of pages back) - do they also have any sort of lighting at night, does anyone know?

With all troubles with licencing to dirt rally, they should implement a real supporting mod to have the opportunity to have all cars that they weren't able to bring it to us for licencing... What would be assetto corsa without mods?? Time is running, able us to do mods or the game will be "one rally game with potential but just that, nothing more...."
(sorry for my English)

Okey, but if I do that and if some one create a livery of Meeke/Ostberg, is it then possible to create headlights and rear brake lights on the car??
If not, there is "no go" for me but thanks for the explanation how to make it work! :)
