Hi to everyone, I am a huge fan of all the mod community. specially meerkat and UD. I have a couple of petitions. I think there are two cars that deserve more love. First one, the Escort MKII. The World champions. 1979 Waldegard and 1981 Vatanen. Beautiful Rothmans liveries.

YES.

I'd also love to see Vatanen's '77 livery on that Mk2.

Here's the mini (pretty much) http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/mini-wrc-montecarlo-2012-d-sordo.6763/

I'm sorry, i could have sworn i saw a Rothmans MkII, but i can't find it.

I want to second your appreciation of @meerkat80 and @YorAlcoholicDad for they do make some excellent quality liveries :)  It's why i want @YorAlcoholicDad to make the 2014 MSport Fiesta, there is one of it already, but the quality is no where near UD's standards.

I also would like to add that i downloaded and tried out Mod Manager last night.  Well that was NOT what i was expecting.

It's a lot more professional than i thought it would be, it's actually *really* useful, lets you see all the skins, completely removes having to know which skin/folder the one you just downloaded has to go in.
You just unzip into the specified click the car you want, click on the default skin you want to replace, then select from the list which skin you want to replace it with.

Highly recommended!

I might give that a try tonight. I've been stalling because I wasn't sure whether or not it was robust enough, but it's good to know that it is.

Does it work properly even if you already have mods for the cars before installing the manager?

The 037 Martini (or Totip, Esso) from me. Queen of the RWD rally cars, but sadly we have'nt any quality liveries to this car yet...

It's not really what i'd call a smart, or self aware prog, in the case you specified, it will class whatever it first detects installed, as the default, as i only mod skins, and i had the downloads still, i just revalidated my cache and set them up from scratch.  But if you don't care about the defaults/backups, you can just roll from where you are - only think is, it will think what you have now is the default and show you the according pics - you'll see what i mean, it's very useful for seeing what you have installed and where.

I have been using the Mod Manager for a while (also helping the dev with some bugs). Easy, intuitive and very functional. It's a must have if you have a lot of liveries like me.

Abut the Montecarlo Mini. That Livery has a couple of issues: inaccurate red, too strong blue, black rear windows, metal around the lights, broken wipers... And the biggest con for me, the L'auto ad of the 2012 Montecarlo rally. It's ugly in my opinion (the ad) and only appeared in that particular rally. I would love to see a generic version for the 2011 mini or the 2012 mini like this one:

Thanks, I have already used that livery. I know I can be a pain in the ass but the contrast is too strong in this livery. Also it has a bug, that I have seen in others old MKII liveries, some kind of orange and red square that appear in the rear windows. I don't know the reason. Whatever, I would love to see other versions of this car.

As much as it seems like whining, i understand your points about the liveries, it's one of the main reasons why i like @meerkat80 and @YorAlcoholicDad liveries, they care that much extra you can really tell, and of course it's the reason why i want the 2014 MSport livery doing :)

In fact, watch the opening minute or so of this video, and it pretty much explains the reason for this threads existence and our fanatical desire for these awesome quality liveries.

I know. When you are using their liveries and change to other one you see the difference, although the 2014 fiesta or the 037 Lancia are done right in my opinion, maybe minor problems with white or black and artifacts in 037. But I undertand you, damn them for doing so awesome liveries. Their detail, colour and contrast are almost perfect.

And yes, the 2014 Fiesta is one of the most beautiful WRC of the last years.  <3
And man, that video about Higgins carrying McRae's livery is heart touching.  :)

meerkat fanatics ...

Just because message was too short

I'm not so good with rally history after Colin moved to Citroen :(

But you found the best overall picture of the 2014 MSport car, Evans as the driver is my preference.

On a side note, there are very few Countryman liveries, but i think that's just due to its lack of popularity.

Did you try this one?  It actually has three liveries, Martini, Totip and Chardonet.

Yes, I tried. Stripes made very well, but the quality of the logos aren't as good as in many other skins (+ lot of artifacts around), sorry to say.  :(

I know, is terrible in the game, the worst 2010. I don't understand the reason. It's true the Mini life in the WRC was short but Sordo did 3 podiums in the 7 or 8 rallies he did as official. And Meeke won the 2011 Spain power stage. Not so bad. Also the Impreza 555 is terrible in game, I think it should be faster than the Delta or Escort.

The Mini 2011 was a fast and beatiful car in asphalt.

'Crappy' is excessively harsh. Unless you can do better yourself, it's better to be a bit more thoughtful when talking about community mods.
It's a lot of time and effort put into them and ultimately, you'd have nothing if they didn't do that.

My bigger problem with those skins was that a number of aspects weren't properly colour corrected for DR. Quite a bit of pure white on a number of logos etc. Fixable, but added an extra round of dds compression.

Actually, as much as i don't like the Mini, it's really not a bad car in game either.
Maybe it has more top speed than Fiesta but the car handling is awful in my opinion. Worse thant all the 2010 or 2000, perhaps is my driving style. Don't you think it can be nice-looking in action? A proper livery can help. The Focus or the Hyundai change a lot with nice skins, for example. It's true that the wrong and ugly spoiler of the game doesn't help.

If someone need inspiration...
Fiat 131 Abarth. When SEAT made cars under FIAT's license, two 131 Abarths were prepared in Spain by SEAT Competición

If someone is interested in doing this liveries, please let me know and I'll help providing photos or info. Thank you in advance!
