I'm not entirely certain why/how they thought it would all work with roads and signs etc being imperial and not able to change.
Politicians. Enough said.

Our cars have the silly double measurement on the speedos to. Actually, what I find funny is that we're also really only taught in metric, but we only use imperial.

I'd also like to point out that your chart is wrong @RyuMakkuro, the goofy brits came up with it, we just use it.

The UK is an honest mix of both. People are only taught metric at school and it's how almost all food is sold now, but road signs, speed limits etc remain mostly Imperial.
The road signs part would require literally every single sign with any distance/speed on it being changed to metric, which would take a huge budget. Seeing as UK is more focused on fighting internet porn (good luck with that xD ) than updating obsolete highway speed limits, I'd say it's safe to assume that the change is if not fully, than at least partly due to budget issues. And naturally all the other issues related to this.
Not really. We adopted Metric in the 60's, just a bit before those pesky internet problems. Lot's of countries, smaller and larger, have managed since.
Signs could have been done gradually as a matter of regular renewal, but they were always replaced with more imperial ones.

Trains are a bit more progressive. While the main national network lines still tend to be in MPH (hence the Class 43 High Speed Train being known as the Intercity 125, for the 125 mph max speed limit), new light rail systems like my local Tyne and Wear Metro are 100% metric.
The High Speed 1 line between the Channel Tunnel and London is also 100% Metric.

Of course, aviation is another matter. World wide, feet remain the standard measurement for altitude and nautical miles for distance with the sole exception of Russia.

Anyways.

does anyone have a high res (4K/8K) skin for the Ford Escort Cosworth Group A?
Preferably from around 1995-1996 seasons without names on windows and DIRT logo on the number stickers :)
Thanks.

yeah, there are a couple of nice skins for it.. but they are quite old now in Dirt age :)
The Sainz Repsol skin is one of my favourites... but not quite what im looking for.
i BELIVE there was someone running it with a Martini livery all the way back in 1995.. before they where the main sponsor of Ford Rallyteam...

There's a lesser seen Malcolm Wilson version as well as @meerkat80 Delecour version that looks pretty good.  I don't know of anything later though.

You have also 1993 Delecour or Makinen Escort in RaceDepartment. Martini livery is already made by mesa. Plenty of skins for the nice Escort

The chart is about who uses it, not who who made it ;) So you proved yourself it's 100% accurate ;)

The Martini one isn't, since it's really a DiRT 3 livery and is missing a number of new textures applied to the DiRT Rally model.
Provided it's a native DiRT Rally livery and not a port from DiRT 3, it should be 4K, which is the standard resolution DR is using for car skins.

Hmm, i can't remember where it was now, but it was kind of a 'shady' looking page, using something like google download or something.  If i remember i'll try and find it again tonight.

1 PSSG for the skin. The others are for the tyres, not the car.
If you're using the default tyre textures, you don't need those other 4 files (technically, you're not really supposed to redistribute unmodified files)

Does he give out a generic plate skin version too?  It's nice to have the event plate but sometimes looks odd in other locations.

Technically, you're not supposed to modify files at all ;)

No, he doesn't. It's 0.9 version, I also prefer a generic version but If I have to choose a real event plate I will choose Montecarlo.
