Gamepad on F1 2019

  Hi,  I am trying to play my steam F1 2019 on my Nvidea Tv Shield with a gamepad the shield gamepad and or the Ipega controler        I tried a lot of settings in the game but it is nearly impossible to drive the cars with the gamepads I have the stearing stays to suddenly and agressive.                                                                                                                                                                Changing the control buttons for stearing sometime result in that the car only stears to the right and not to the left at all?                  So untill now great to look at the game but actually not able to drive the cars, so somewhat disappointed                                           Is anybody able to drive with a gamepad and stay on the track?
