VW Polo and Scirocco.
Citroen Xsara and DS3 with the orange/black livery.

The Ford Focus mainly used in CMR3 is welcome as is the Ford Puma from CMR2.

A renault 4L :)

This would be cool if there where a Safari rally!  This whole setup would be interesting with the physics model and all that roof weight.

Some Suzuki Love would be great, I'd settle for an SX4 or Swift Sport, but would love an original Swift GTI, or my Daily Driver a 2003 Ignis Sport which actually won the World Junior Rally Championship. A massively underrated car that's incredible fun to drive.

And the wonderful Swift GTI..

+ 1 (without rallycross cars, for me not interesting).

Mk1 RS1600 Ford Escort, to go with the Colin McRae Mk2 RS1800 Escort, but preferably period without the independent rear suspension

More Japanese rally cars!!  kinda frustrating that there are practically non available. I know everyone is gonna bandwagon on the GT-Four and STI/EVO, which is fine, but there are tons of other forgotten retro Japanese rally fighters that no one ever seems to bring up.

I'm probably missing a few so please excuse me for any not on the list.

70's/80's group 4:
Datsun 240Z
Datsun 1800 SSS
Toyota Celica 2000GT RA40/RA63

80's Group B:
Daihatsu Charade 926 Turbo
Daihatsu Charade DeTomaso 926R
Subaru XT 4WD Turbo
Nissan 240RS
Mazda RX-7 SA22/FB
Mitsubishi Lancer 2000 Turbo
Mitsubishi Starion
Toyota Celica Twin-Cam Turbo TA64

80's Group S (cancelled):
Toyota 222D (AW11 MR2)  (** unlikely but would still be nice to have **)

80's/90's Group A:

Nissan 200SX
Nissan Sunny GTi-R
Toyota Celica GT-Four ST165/ST185/ST205
Toyota Supra Turbo A
Toyota Supra 3.0i
Toyota Corolla GT/GT-S (AE86)
Mazda 323 GT-X
Subaru Leone
Subaru RX Turbo
Subaru Legacy RS
Subaru Impreza GC
Mitsubishi Starion Turbo
Mitsubishi Lancer EVO (I/II/III/IV/V/VI/6.5)
Mitsubishi Lancer EX2000 Turbo
Mitsubishi Carisma GT EVO (V/VI/IV)
Mitsubishi Lancer RS
Mitsubishi Galant VR-4

80's/2012 Group N:
Honda Civic Type R

Toyota have decided not to let the game use their cars and we suspect that there'll be at least a Mitsubishi Lancer for Group A coming up in the Finland pack and I'll be very surprised if there's no 2000s Subaru in the Modern Masters pack.

Those aside, very few of the others are particularly noteworthy in rallying history, apart from the Nissan 240RS and 160J's successes in marathon events - don't get me wrong, I'd love to see them (and maybe we will eventually) but I can't criticise the devs for any of their car choices so far.

Any reason why Toyota would refuse to allow codemasters to add their cars into dirt rally? seems kinda irrational. Also I have never heard of any public statements from codemasters or elsewhere about this.

I understand that codemasters want to focus on the well known champion rally cars, fine with that, but right now the selection is biased towards everything else other than the Japanese stuff. I just think it would be interesting for a slight change up.  If codemasters just got in the 240RS, Lancer 2000 Turbo, Celica Twin-Cam Turbo, and *maybe* an RX-7 for the sparse RWD Group B/80's selection i'd be happy. Not all super successful rally cars but well known cars among enthusiasts and historically cool.

They have mentioned it before, it's in the really good feedback thread from Lee to us from a month or so ago (mentioned along with Porsche). Reasons can only be speculated upon unfortunately, but that's the facts of it.

I don't disagree that some of your car list would be nice to have and add depth, but I don't think it's biased in any particular way for or against any certain nationalities is all I'm saying. There's the same bias against Swedish, Korean and Czech content at the moment, but I don't think it's for any national reason.Pl

Bearing in mind the enforced Toyota omission, the other two Japanese makes most associated with rallying are Subaru and Mitsubishi, the former of which is present and the latter of which will surely be added next month.

Whilst the other cars could certainly add a bit more diveristy to the classes and be perfectly justifiable, I don't think they've not been included (yet) because of national reasons, just because they've not been the most iconic cars of the class (and also because the early cars were mainly using DiRT 3 models).

@KickUp mentioned on Twitter that he'd be very interested in having the Mazda RX7 represented in future, so there's certainly hope :)
