DiRTy Car Wishlists!

Recommended Posts

Given that most players will have their own personal wish-list of cars that they dream will be included in DR2.0, lets make a specific topic about which cars you would like to see added in the game.

Needless to say, just because it's in this thread doesn't mean that Codies will put it in the game. Particularly with Toyotas and Hyundais, as neither brand seems to be willing to license their cars for DR2 (Toyota seem to be exlusive with Polyphony and I guess that Hyundai have had something of a falling out with CM given that they were in DR1 and D4 but not here, even though Hyundais are in the WRX irl).

Give details about the car. Use the following format:

- CAR: The name of the car, of course! e.g. Suzuki SX4 Rally
- CLASS: Which class you think the car would go in. e.g. 2000cc 4WD
- CHAMPIONSHIP / SEASONS: This doesn't have to be all-inclusive if your car's competed in a lot. Just think of the most prominent appearance. e.g. WRC 2008
- IMAGE: e.g.
autowp.ru_suzuki_sx4_wrc_1.jpg
- OTHER: Any other information you think is worthy of noting here

Wish away! 😄

- CAR: Marklund VW Polo
- CLASS: RX Supercar
- CHAMPIONSHIP / SEASONS: WRX / ERX / National RX series
- IMAGE:
image.png.dbc9b646cf85fc1fdb8cb2733e377be9.png
OTHER: This is the currently active competing Polo, already for years actually. It seems that Hedstrom Motorsport took over the Marklund Polo concept. Available in DR1 and D4.

OTHER(2): There is also a kristofferson VW Polo version competing. It is very similar, apart from some small aero differences.

New R4 category (kinda still in dev, but will be available for almost all events aside WRC) :
Haven't put the Toyota as licencing them seems difficult...
Would be great to complete the small NR4 category.

Nice suggestions 🙂

Just so expectations are set, bear in mind that it takes several months for a car to go from "we see this on a wishlist" to appearing in-game if it's going to appear at all.

Given how long it takes and where DiRT Rally 2.0 is at in its life cycle, these are likely to come as suggestions for future titles moreso than the current game.

With that in mind, in hopes that it helps, I've aggregated a list of cars I'd like to see appear in DR2.0 that were already in older EGO-engine DiRT Games.

Group B (RWD):
[DiRT1] Renault 5 Maxi Turbo

Group B (4WD):
[DiRTR] Audi Sport quattro S1

Group A:
[DiRT3] Toyota Celica GT-Four

Up to 2000cc:
[DiRT1] Citroën Xsara
[DiRT3] Fiat Grande Punto S2000
[DiRT3] Peugeot 207 S2000
[DiRT1] Peugeot 307
[DiRT3] Subaru Impreza (2007)

R4/NR4:
[DiRTR] Subaru Impreza WRX STI N13 (2011)

R5:
[DiRT4] Hyundai R5

Up to 1600cc:
[DiRTR] Ford Focus RS (2011)
[DiRTR] Hyundai i20 (2014)
[DiRTR] Mini Countryman Rally (2011)
[DiRTR] Volkswagen Polo R (2013)

R-GT:
[DiRT3] BMW Z4 M
[DiRT1] Lotus Exige
[DiRT2] Nissan 350z

RX Classic:
[DiRTR] Mini Cooper S

RX Super1600:
[DiRT1] Citroën C2 S1600
[DiRTR] Peugeot 207 S1600
[DiRT1] Suzuki Swift S1600

RX Supercars:
[DiRT4] DS Automobiles DS3

This quote is for complete new cars I hope? Cars I suggested are from DR1/D4 and should be a lot less work imo.

Really, can happen this? I believe it is a good idea to get some cars of the Dirt series. I think it's less work. To make something new you want many time i suppose.

The only thing I hope is the time gap between the end of DR2.0 support and the beginning of DR3.0 early access to be the small as possible ! (even if not all the racing locations and all pacenotes are ready.)

Just found these on my old computer
Codemasters Colin Mcrae Rally 2005

Could be good if Codemasters could get these cars in Dirt Rally 2.0

It must be easy if they have these files yet.

They probably have still files, but they are also probably to low poly.

Although not the R32 we are getting a Mk IV (I think) Golf in the Kit Car class! Toyota though are just a no go.

I'm hoping for the yellow MKIII Kit Car that Alistair McRae used instead of MKIV :)
