f1 solved F1 2018 G29 FFB

My G29 doesn't have any FFB or wheel weight when driving. It works in the menu and when I go off track, but there is no wheel centering on track. I've checked solutions and no, I DO NOT HAVE PCARS2 installed.

FFB works in other games, but not in F1 2018. It's a game killer for me. I use Logitech G HUB and latest firmware. Do you have any experience with this issue?

I just bought F1 2018 for my PC in a sale, however no matter what I do, I cant get any force feedback to work in my wheel. Other driving games/sims are working fine.

My system is Windows 10 64 bit, all drivers up to date, and the game recognises the wheel no problem  - I can move around the menus, all buttons are working, and I can steer/accelerate/brake etc...its just that there is zero tension in the wheel, and just slight rumbles when I go over kerbs.

Could someone please post screenshots of thir Logitech software settings, and their in-game settings fora G29?

LGS must be installed for the wheel to work.

I have LGS installed, and it’s on the default profile, wheel and pedals showing up fine - as I said in my initial post, the wheel is working fine with Assetto Corsa, ACC, Project CARS 2, Race Room, Wreckfest etc...just not with F1 2018.

There are multiple threads regading G29 issues on the forum. Despite the fact that your question is related to F1 2018 offered solutions might apply. Check this post out.

Ok, I've tried:

• Uninstalling and reinstalling Logitech Gaming Software (on latest version), reboots in between.
• Deleting hardware_settings_config
• Verifying game files via Steam
• Resetting all control defaults in F1 2018

Still no tension in the wheel in F1 2018, just rumbles when you go over kerbs, or on the grass. The wheel works perfecty in other games.

Any other ideas I can try? I see from the forums that some people are also having this G29 issue in F1 2019...sure puts me off buying any future Codemasters games.

Ok - I have found a solution to the issue - apparently if you have Project CARS 2 installed, and (I think) you use custom FFB files, it alters some registry values which cause this issue in F1 2018.

What I tried first: (none of these helped)

• Uninstalling and reinstalling Logitech Gaming Software (on latest version), reboots in between.
• Deleting hardware_settings_config
• Verifying game files via Steam
• Resetting all control defaults in F1 2018

What did work was this:

Using RegEdit

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_046D&PID_C24F

Check these values, and change if required -  it works for me:

• OEMName: "Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel USB" must be instead of "G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel"
• OEMData: 43 00 08 10 19 00 00 00 must be instead of 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 (or any other value)

Reboot your PC, and the FFB wil be back for G29 in F1 2018.

I'm still getting a bit of clipping so would really appreciate some of you posting your G29 settings here for F1 2018, both Logitech Gaming Software and in-game settings.

This IIRC, was an issue known about some time before. Hopefully it can be sorted now both teams are on the same side....

PCARS2 is about a tenner at the moment, I nearly bought it I'm so bored.
