Greece SS DR1 vs DR2.0

DR2.0 has Worst Color palette on road and trees and also worst distance objects, but Better road textures, close distance objects, car , trees.

The color palette is all wrong I know for sure because I live close to Greek SS.  about draw distance low res objects I really don't get it why is  worst .

 

All setting are maxed out .

Which car? The one on the bottom (DR 2.0 ?)  looks **** compare to the one on the top (DR?) ...

Well those shots are at different times of day, for one thing. It's common knowledge in photography circles that you aren't going to get the best-looking pictures in the middle of the day (which is when DR2's 'Day' setting is at).

Even if its different time of day … I dont think that low res  mountain on the distance at DR2 has to do anything with the time of day . 

Also the Trees and road in Greece its not that color any time of day you gone look at them , ( I know when I open my window I see the First WRC SS in Greece )  In real life the color of the road its mostly brown and not yellowish like Australia, also the Trees in real life aren't green like that , its mostly like the DR1 ,  brownish-green because in that section mostly never Rains , that why we have olive trees (they dont need a lot of water)

Maybe it is a secretive DLC that you pay for but it gets removed at a random time and if you have the Oculus Rift you have to pay it 3 times and you can get it only if the wind blows from north west and the humidity level in southern Spain is under a certain level ...

I am bringing it up everywhere. Here, on Steam and on Oculus forums. After 1 month asking daily I still did not get an answer to simple questions.

- Why there are Oculus Home users that have the DLCs in the game while the other users that bought the very same version (the only one available on Oculus Home) dont ?
- When are we getting the Oculus SDK native support in the Steam version ?

I get it - people like yourself are justifiably not happy about the Occulus implementation. But maybe, on these forums at least, maybe keep it to the approximately two dozen threads started by yourself and other users on such matters instead of hijacking every other thread on the forum?

@Malling yes and that is because we dont get the answers we are looking for. Codemasters answers only what is convenient to them and ignores the "uncomfortable" or "embarrassing" ones. Until we dont get an answer I will keep (together with the other users) on posting and posting and posting every given day.

 

I strongly hope we won't  have because of total desperation to start to rely on piracy to have what we have paid for. I am willing to pay whatever amount for the DLCs I love the game and it is worth it the money. Just give the damn chance to buy ! This is crazy !

I bombed that thread too. Of course no proper answers just people arguing and making random speculations. Does it really take so much from Codemasters to answer their customers and give a final solution that makes everybody equal and happy ? We are really not asking the moon here @Malling you have to agree with me man.

My friend , I also didn't get an answer  about the pop up textures on some tracks (after the fast loading update) and I didn't get any answer about the Low res Background texture on Greece... But us u can see I didn't go write all these on different kind of topics . 🙂

You should also Try having support from Milestone for example … after that u will love Codemasters trust me 🙂

Ευχαριστώ πολύ for your answer @Tripokaridos. You are able to play the game you have bought fully. I would say at a level of importance your issue is little while this one is very big and involves thousands of users like me in the same awful situation.

Σε καταλαβαίνω ρε φιλε μεγαλη ρομπα...But this is the problem with moderns games, I mostly had problem with all sims ,that patch after patch fix it, for example I paid WRC8 and I unistall it after spending days finding a solution for stuttering over 60 fps, I even changed 2 monitors 🙂  . I hope u find a solution fast

exactly , I feel the same . For me DR2.0 is the best rally game overall so I cant see any other options . Yeah its not a big step up from DR1.0 everyone I think agree on that , The first problems with no road FFB effects , VR , audio cuts etch etch make the people angry , but for me they weight of the car until now is the best I have seen , also the reaction of the car is good for me (most times) 

All I wanted to see is a better career (rewarding with like giving u something ...extra hidden cars , or mechanic's,or unlock something) 

They have done great work with the deformation of the road and I like it , But I would love to see Real time weather effects . and MORE MORE animals on the roads like birds, dogs , or something , Greek stages for example look empty :) , I think u know what I mean (we have a lot of birds passing by these trees) and sheeps :) loL.

I don't think the screenshot does it much justice because apart from the rainy sunset having the usual power of a thousand suns (and the annoying sunlight sprinkles bang in the middle of the screen in bonnet view) Dirt Rally 2 Greece looks quite good when things are on the move, with lots of nice looking trees you could loan out to Grid 2019... 🙂 

 Funnily enough though I once ate some Greek food and the next day my textures were also the wrong colour - a point that probably goes a long way to explaining why Greece has no roadside dogs and birds 😲

are you kidding ,i even have birds  in my town on my backyard and everywhere,i live in Ioannina,and its a big city ,i dont need to go outside to my vilage to see them and annimals ,please animals ,

 

cm needs to fix some details! but the sad is it has to be done from scratch ,base,  their testers suck ,

 they dont give to much attention ,cause they lost their crowd ,only few fans supporting her ,

carreer ,many people have moved to play a suck ed game ,only cause it has a perfect carrer .its vibration or feedback on the other game it like a phone in my pocket ,on dirt 2 i can feel the gravel like the road on my village ,the asphault need to be improved 

sudden moments,real sudden moments not a drone flying ,i means people on the roads ,the only country that has dangerous left rights is monte and this cause its slippy 

i dont know who are the testers of this game ,but their work is s_hit,even the professional drivers 

 

i love this game ,thats why im ****** off ,cause it has potentials ,but in the stage that it is now ,unfortunately its has to start from the beggining ,

with the correct testers ,not guys that see a drone and say amazing ,

i personally vollunteer my self to be a tester ,but they have to know ,that my words will be a hammer in the head ...
