Like all Codemasters titles, GRID doesn’t just support a wheel setup – it thrives on it. Throughout development we’ve ensured that GRID is fun, challenging and accessible for those using a wheel, pedals, or a full racing rig. Following feedback on this topic from past Codies games, we’ve made further steps to ensure you can race #LikeNoOther on your chosen wheel setup.

Similarly to DiRT Rally 2.0, GRID allows PC players to manually set up your peripherals through the in-game options for optimum performance. Key integrations for this system include:

• Up to 15 connected devices
• Connect multiple instances of the same device
• Each connected device configuration is saved with a rolling history of 15 devices
• Each device is heavily configurable via provided XML files and in game menus
• Common devices are known in a pre-defined device_defines.xml, fixing common issues with drivers and pre-configuring device settings
• Multiple action maps per device supported to allow for rim-swapping
• Unknown devices can be configured via in-game menus

On PC, thanks to community feedback we have improved support for the majority of devices to be added/configured via the in-game menus without the need to hand-edit XML files. This includes selecting the device type, forcing force feedback on/off, multi-binding different axis to the same actions and calibrating.

We’ve also made further improvements to this system, including:

• Simplified menu layout – consolidating information into one screen (Device Management)
• Displaying all devices recognised or disconnected, so you can detect faults/issues
• Ability to edit deadzone saturation for dynamic axis, such as using an analog handbrake
• Improved calibration description and information

For all platforms, here’s a handy list of peripherals that you’ll be able to play with in GRID straight away, after minimum calibration:

Connected devices is an area that is constantly being improved and expanded through both internal testing and community feedback. If your device isn’t on the list, you can still define the device type and set it up in-game on PC. We’re making it easier for players to sort their device quickly and easily without having to leave in the in-game experience.

For the Xbox it says "Logitech G920 Racing Wheel" but doesn't mention the pedals... Do you think that is just "implied" because they are usually sold together (wheel and pedals)?

No because the pedals plug into the wheel base and cannot be used as a seperate device and I don't think logitech even do additions to their wheels (like interchangable pedals, rims, etc) think there are mods for the pedals sets but other than that. It's a static product platform afaik.

Thrustmasters wheel rims can have additional/missing buttons, dials and switches so support for these rims and pedal sets would need to be included for them to function properly...

Yup.

When it comes to manufacturers that supply separate components they're listed separately.

Sadly the FFB is a total joke no feel of tyre grip or it's loss, and adjusments make no discernable changes even set to 150 (other than wheel weight), yet the controls physics work well enough, the GFX Issues WE highlighted are still there but the graphics discussion got closed for "Nothing meaningful being ascertained by the devs" You've GOT to be FRIGGING JOKING RIGHT!?!?!?

Scenery LOD updates practically the instant before it leaves the screen and once seen it's GLARINGLY APPARENT damned near all the time, the HUD CANNOT be adjusted AT ALL. Nor Motion Blur. WTH Codies????..

My nephew has the Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2. Is it supposed to work? (it doesn't or he's doing something wrong)

Lengthy list of supported peripherals, which is great.

Now...if we could only get FFB that didn’t feel half-baked, we’d be all set.

I bought grid 9 so I can use my fanatec steering wheel setup, but guess what the damn game cannot detect my fanatec steering wheel.

I must of reinstalled the driver update the firmware a few times, I even went as far uninstalling grid 9, restart my system a few times to get it working. But I gave up I have been working on this issue for half a day and a few hours last time.

Can you please look into this.

BTW. My fanatec steering wheel works in iRACE just fine no issues.

Thanks
