Fanatec CSL LED lights on PS4 to show gear number instead of speed

Recommended Posts

I have the fanatec CSL Elite F1 set for and running it on a PS4 running F1 2018. There are many posts on here about this but none that I have found to actually answer what I am looking for!!!

I want the wheel LED display to show the gear number I am in instead of the standard speed while playing on the PS4.

I have plugged the CSL into my PC and have used eksimracing to change the settings to show the gear number instead of the speed.

While the CSL is plugged into the PC and I am racing on PS4 (with the PS4 controller), the wheel does shows the gear number on the LED (eksimracing and running the console bridge). The wheel does not seem to be able to control the car like this when plugged into the PC, but seems to show all the revs, gears, etc..

As soon as I unplug from the CSL from the PC and plug back into the PS4, the wheel works again but only shows speed and not gears.

Using eksimracing, I have also setup the UDP settings on the PS4 as per the eksimracing instuctions on thier website

Can this actually be achieved on a PS4 to show the gear number (without going through a PC with the cpnsole bridge) and if so, what am I doing wrong?!!!

Do you need to save the setup file on the wheel somehow through eksimracing so it will remeber to show the gears when it is plugged into the PS4?

Any help would be great as this apparent small thing is drving me nuts...
