No decent practice sessions possible with F2 cars

Recommended Posts

Together with some other drivers, I would like to do some practice sessions for our F2 2019 Sprint League. In F1 we usually do a 45 minutes practice, but we figured out for F2 there's only 30 or 45 minutes possible. Now that is all fine, we could even do the 30 minutes without a problem (since you only get 2 yellow sets of tires anyways). But here's the problem: Fuel is non-adjustable. Its 6.15 laps when you drive out of the pitlane and there is no setting to change the amount of fuel. For us this is way too few. We would like to start driving with 16 laps of fuel (we drive 50% feature and sprint race and Bahrain is our first track). Like this it makes no sense to practice F2 at all...

Could this somehow be fixed, or does anyone have a temporary workaround?

People complained about this months ago at release. F2 only has a very minor inclusion in this year's game although from the overwhelming positive response I expect to see it more heavily developed in the next game. On the other hand Codies could remove it entirely. That's happened with beloved features before.

Basically the only way round this is to practice in TT offline in solo mode. Sadly no open lobby practice sessions are available in game. Agreed you should be able to have a 2 hour practice chill session with no racing just a time leader board if you wish. Codies are you listening?!

Solution: Use Time Trials instead for practice - solved!

Some problems with that are you can’t get a judgement of tire wear or tire temps from TT so it’s hard to develop a race strategy.  Also by not being able to change fuel levels you end up way over fueled by the end of the race with no way to burn it off.
