GRID 2 mp vs. GRID 2019 mp

The first image was taken this week from a GRID2 lobby.  9 players and no ai.  This game is 5 years old

The second image was also taken this week.  GRID 2019.  This game is 7 days old.  No lobbies available.  We see this screen most of the time.

Note: I did manage to get in some lobbies on GRID 2019.  The lobbies were around 4 players and loaded with ai who routinely ruin each race.

Disappointing that nothing is being done or talked about by Codemasters.

Is it not already dead?

Too bad for the 240 different AI personalities... 😄

Its in a crucial condition in emergency but not dead,  yet people just don't want play it as in current state the game is empty with many bugs and not actual mp,  if custom lobbies are added many will come back... The core game is good with various improvements / additions the game can be really fun...

A big problem I've found with the current mp game is, same type of race and same types of car over and over. I.E track, day, fine. City, night, rain. Usually give up before the 3rd, The cars? only ones I've seen have been the Mclaren, a Ferrari and a Ford Focus. Bring back the Grid Autosport lobby or at least make races created by players open for others to join instead of being strictly private affairs.

this game is clearly rushed out, in few months of developments there is no time to test anything. We are lucky that cars have wheels.

It wasn't rushed out. Games don't start being developed the moment they're announced.

CM just thought they could grab a quick buck and put as little effort into it as possible. Common trend in gaming these days.

Rush it out and hope they can fix the stuff ups with patches. People know what a patch does, right? It only covers bigger problems. As the current imbroglio with the latest so called fix proves.

Codemasters and good patches don't go hand in hand. 1.1 is comically poor for how late it is, and the F1 games have universally suffered from having patches lacking in substance followed by development being ended in less than a third of the year for the last 5 years now.

The only exceptions to the rule have been Dirt Rally and its sequel, and both of those were handled by the much more competent B team. I can also forgive Dirt 4 because that one was badly affected by the FIA revoking CM's WRC license, and the B team tried to compensate for its loss by implementing an overly ambitious system in just a few months.
