One thing that has always made me rage in F1 2012 /rant

Since I am still learning things, and still not 100% on most of the tracks, I tend to go off sometimes. Be it because I simply misjudge my entry, or brake too late. Generally on hairpins at the end of straits is where this happens most. Which is all fine, can be frustrating, but only with myself for making the mistake. 

But what really pushes me over the edge, is when the game assumes control of my car in any way. This is why I run no assist, even when struggling. And for some reason, they found it a good idea to make the game lock my front wheels when I go off. Typically within a couple of feet of the track, and right after I've brought my speed down enough to turn back to the track. Which in turn causes me to go twice as far off as I other wise would have.

This drives me mad, because I'm losing 3x as much time for my mistake than I should be. Then the stupid rev limiter where it keeps auto releasing the throttle when you are off course just compounds it. That one I understand to an extent, because it stops people from trying to get longer runs down straights for higher speeds, but the auto brake thing, really makes me want to break things o.o

Some tracks are worse for it than others. Some you can go quite a ways off before it happens, others it can happen as soon as all 4 tires are off track. Sending you in a straight line further off course. I don't understand in the slightest why this is necessary on top of the rev control, and I really feel like it's a way to (successfully) troll people who are still fresh to F1 and making mistakes more often.

I've improved a lot, so it happens much less now, but it's still just as rage inducing when it happens. I really don't know why it causes me as much frustration as it does, but I typically end up turning the game off within 5 minutes after it's happened lol. Perhaps it's because I am generally annoyed with myself for making the mistake as soon as it happens, and the auto brake lock is like a slap in the face.

I mostly just wanted to vent my frustration with this post, so I can keep playing tonight. I don't have a lot of time this time of year to play because I am almost constantly on the road, I wasn't even supposed to be home today, I should be 600 miles away at least by now lol.
