Hi,

Can you let us know what are of the game you are noticing this happening in. What you are doing prior to it happening etc. First things to check however are;

  • Verifying integrity of your files
  • Ensuring graphics drivers are up-to-date
  • Try running the game in DX11

If none of these address your issue then please send an email to community(at)codemasters(dot)com with the following information:

  • A recent crash dump
  • DXDiag
  • Hardware Settings

Details on how to find and send these items can be found here.

@naim786 Thank you providing the DXDiag/Hardware settings. Would you be able to provide a crash dump as well please (not the ego dumper log). Would you also be able to ensure that all Windows updates have been done. If this does not work then you can try to disable the shader cache since you have a Nvidia graphics card - details on how this can be done is below. Let us know how you get on with this.

How to find a crash dump

  1. Browse to the folder where you have Steam installed, usually this will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
  2. Browse to the userdata folder and Search for *.zip or browse to through the numbered directories to the relevant remote directory.
  3. You should find a file named something like crash_dump#76561198061784954.zip
  4. Send that file to us at community(AT)codemasters.com (replacing the (AT) with an @ )

DX12 Stability Issues on NVIDIA Cards
Some users have reported frequent stability issues when running the game in DX12 on NVidia cards. One known workaround is to disable the Shader Cache option for this game. To do this:

  • Launch the NVIDIA Control Panel
  • Select to "Manage 3D Settings"
  • Click on the "Program Settings" tab
  • Click the "Add button"
  • Scroll down to and select the "F1 2019 Executable" from the lists of programs
  • Click on the "Shader Cache" option within the program settings window and set this to "Off"
  • Relaunch the game and check whether this has improved game stability.

Please note that changing this option may increase your loading times.

Same Issue here, game seems to have become more unstable recently. Most recent crash happened when I was exiting the game.

Hopefully the attached info can help :classic_sad:
