AI Leaderboard on Career mode

Recommended Posts

Can someone explain what is going on with the AI leaderboard. After accepting where I stand amongst the 30 AI competitors in a rally I get the option to view leaderboard again before continuing to the next stage. If I select this I see a full global leaderboard, but only for that stage rather than for the rally to date. The weird thing is that there are thousands of times, like my screenshot below, showing I'm 11,000 ish amongst about 25,000. This seems way off the mark given that other daily and weekly challenges only tend to attract a few thousand entrants max. Am I missing something? Do the AI competitions actually attract 10 times as many entrants as the other challenges?

Those are the all-time leaderboards. Because AI events are against AI so they don't have leaderboards for human players. Other online events show the leaderboard of those who played in that particular event

My Team Community Challenges: The leaderboards show only participants for this specific event, these are one-time leaderboards, so they disappear after the event ends.

My Team AI Challenges: The leaderboards show all-time participants for the specific stage, the leaderboard is shared with custom events and Historic Championships I believe.

Time Trial: The leaderboards are complete seperate from all the other modes.

World Series: The leaderboard is seperated from the other modes and one-time leaderboards, too.

I am not sure about My Team Career leaderboards, if they are connected to custom events/AI challenges or seperated.

I don’t remember the specifics but this sounds about right.

Time Trial, World Series and non-AI Community Challenges are all separate, but Historics / World RX / Custom / My Team Career / AI Challenge should all be on the same board, which would explain the high number of entries.

I did not know that. that is a random bunch of event modes lumped together.

Ok, it makes sense that custom events should go with historic championships, because the parameters are basically the same.

but the AI challenges are in My Team. so the team or car might not be fully upgraded and repairs cost money, so its not an even playing field. surely AI challenge leaderboards should go with the career mode, since it's essentially the same thing except with different AI levels?

I don't think this matters too much though lol, I'm not exactly someone who goes for the top times.

Well, it makes sense. Because it's all against AI. You can't make too many leaderboards for the same stages, because that splits players on the board too much. The upgrades and such doesn't really matter, because if you play the game, you probably get a better time later on with a fully upgraded car anyway. It's not like you drive them just once.

Time Trial is seperated for obvious reasons. No excuses on these boards.

And the one-time-leaderboards make sense, too.

I don't go for the top times, either. But I look always were I am and have a goal like "not more than 30 seconds behind the top guys on a long stage" or "at least top 500" or something like that.
